If DD2 works like the first game, the port crystals that you placed in the environment in your first playthrough will carry over in new game+ and you can use the new batch that you get in your second playthrough to place in other areas you didn't get a chance to mark before- ultimately creating custom fast travel points all over the entire map.

Similar to everything post-Everfall in Dragon’s Dogma 1, I’m pretty sure this game has a whole different side of it that we haven’t seen yet. Something interesting he said is how the Griffen got away but come nightfall, came back for revenge. It is more likely that the "home" location of the Griffen was where they were at and it wasn't back for revenge, the party just hadn't moved, so it started another encounter when the Griffen "respawned" or came back, however you want to look at it.

After seeing this I’m almost certain there’s more classes they Havnet revealed yet. Obviously in previous clips you can se spaces in the vocation lists that already hints at it, but at how much more complex/fun there making them to unlock they will definitely capitalise on that.

Leaving classes for players to discover and talk about will drum up more excitement and online conversation at launch, it's smart not to reveal everything at launch. Remnant 2 had several hidden classes behind extremely complex unlock conditions that keep the community busy trying to find them for weeks after launch.

At 7:30 in the inventory, you can see that it has three armies equipped to the body. A shirt and gloves, a coat and armor. So we do technically get a slot for gloves for fashion. This is great news

Interesting that they've gone back into the limited-use fast travel system. The "Dark Arisen" remaster-rerelease of the first game gave players an Eternal Ferrystone, which seemed to be the developers realizing that players do in fact LIKE fast travel as an option, having been spoiled by Skyrim and such. But even then the travel itself was still limited to a few locations.

IGN, can they explain more about the levitation mechanic for Sorcerer and Mage core skills. For instance using levitation while falling should stop the momentum from which you are falling? Meaning less death falls. And maybe create a mechanic that levitation can actually get the player to certain heights. Like levitating from the ground up a few meters. That would be cool.

In the first game it did stop you from fall damage, basically if you were in the air you could hover at that height for a little bit, but it wouldn't let you say levitate straight up. It served a similar purpose as say a double jump would.

In the first game, you didn't need to grind basic vocations to unlock advanced ones - you just need a certain amount of discipline points which you got on level up. The reason you'd grind vocations was to unlock their passives which could be used across different vocations, such as sorcerer being able to boost their magic damage which was in turn useful for a magick archer.

Never needed more than the 3 skills in the first game. Warriors was mostly basic attack class only using certain skills to knock enemies to the ground or unleash a devastating power attack. The only thing that was frustrating was trying to charge one of the power bash skills cuz it took to long and enemies hardly stayed down long enough to get it off.

In the first game you could use pommel bash as the tackle for the warrior, it would stun foes and allows you to chain attacks more easily and also cancel them. Problem was that hard mode busted stagger resistance for the foes. Hope they are more careful when adding new difficulties to this one. But I'm glad that now the bash wont ocupy a slot anymore.

Having no fast travel is no issue at all if the HASSLE for not having fast travel is not there. E.g. requiring to go back town to level up, to stock up consumables, to upgrade gear, TO MANAGE INVENTORY. If these are still in the design decisions without proper alternatives, then having no fast travel becomes a real pain.

there is fast travel you have to actually build it yourself. the first game had fast travel too. people saying the games fast travel was bad was just misinformation. it actually has one of the best fast travel system where you build on your own. which means you can place a fast travel point any where. not like other games with pre destined locations to fast travel to.

Was hoping they'd change the levelling system so I'd be able to allocate my stats freely rather than having them auto-assign based on vocation, oh well.

I'd be hesitant to feel hyped by a game like this if it was being made by most companies out there but given this is Capcom and the fact that they've been on an absolute role for the past few years, makes me very excited

Agreed. I'm currently playing enshrouded and the next game on my list is definitely DD2. Can't wait to get my hands on it

@@iyona2305 agreed. Only issue, well not an issue it's just me, is the game is a bit too easy. Hope devs can make it more challenging in the future. Other than that the game is great and I've been enjoying it a lot
