They've been hanging that bait over us for a while now, much like xifacadeix said. They said the same thing in regards to the PC version, saying it's success will determine if we get a sequel or localized DDO. It succeeded. We've seen/heard nothing. They also said if DDO does well it'll likely be localized. Got a million downloads in just 10 days. Nothing. They've made these promises and then their products surpass expectations and then they do nothing with them. It's just a sales tactic. I wouldn't trust them to make a sequel or bring over DDO any time soon.

Everything about this game is generally stuff I'd normally overlook. But picking up and actually playing the game? Made me see it's everything I could want out of a single game. My god - I was hooked. It was everything I wanted - barring the lack of online play with friends. Gotta admit though, Dragons Dogma Online not coming over to the west has been a joke.

My original copy was on Xbox 360 and the disc was scratched to the point where i couldn't beat the main story, it just froze when i tried to go into the Everfall. Got the PC version so i could finish (and use mouse controls, i suck with an analog stick) and put another 120 hours in. I"d love a sequel but honestly i'd settle for more endgame content or the localized MMO

Ever since PS4 came out I had to trade in my PS3 along with SKYRIM & DRAGON'S DOGMA (with a heavy heart), then THE WITCHER 3 came out, it was a masterpiece of a game, after I finished that game, I was back with the heavy heart of missing SKYRIM & DRAGON'S DOGMA, then the remastered SKYRIM came out, and I was like a kid in a candy store, but somehow someway I was still bummed out....until I watched this trailer today, and I'm looking forward to this. I really hope this is not a joke.

What about releasing a sequel? DD was as flawed as it had potential, all it needed was a plot, characters development, better fast travel, maybe dialogue options (keeping the silent protagonist like in Dragon Age Origins, so no dub problems and allowing more different options to choose from), more non-fetch quests. The gameplay was really good but it needed some coop option imho maybe putting an option to join any game where your pawn is used would be a clever idea.

Dragon's Dogma was surprisingly self-contained. No sequel baiting, no cliffhanger, just a very definitive ending. I mean, how can you top killing a god?

I felt that the only way to top killing the god is to show the aftermath of breaking the cycle which your character does when he/she commits suicide without a successor. The unraveling of all the timelines of all the worlds would make for a great story I think.

I'd rather it not be the same story, but rather a re imagining. As you said, it was a self contained "test" game, but a sequel wouldn't hurt. All it would need to keep is the combat, pawns and notable story beats. Everything else could change and it would still be Dragon's Dogma.

You really don't break the cycle as it's explained that an arisen from another world can come and simply become god. A sequel could focus more so on the rift since it seems to be where everything comes from and the most mysterious place

The story was pretty fun, but I'll admit the consistent spawn points and end game fast travel could get tiring, but nothing can beat that first encounter with the vocation system. One of THE BEST combat systems I've ever played. Despite it's flaws, the shear satisfaction of successful parries, numerous varied skills, and incredible enemy animations make some of the most stunning dynamic fights in gaming history. When you get to the level that you can block an ogre with a wall of light, toss a chimera 10 meters with one swing of your greatsword, or bring down a griffan with a well placed arrow, you reach a level of satisfaction that ranks top 10 anime fight scenes lol. Magics that manipulate the very forces of nature, earthquakes, tornadoes, necromancy. raining down magic homing arrows simultaneously performing impossible headshots, or assinating 10 enemies in the blink of an eye with masterful parries, quick maneuvers, and timed blocks and doges. This game had a combat style for everyone. I really wish this game gets praise to become an influence in future generations of games, it's combat alone was enough to carry it to the finishline. NPCs we're decent and many characters are memorable, the Dragon, Madeleine, The Witch of the West (Selena), Aelinore, Fournival, Mercedes, and Mason. The quests while not executed the best, were still interesting and compelling envolving, mystery, trechery, politics, suspense, and love. I bought this twice already and I'll buy it again because it's amazing!

anyone who hasn't played this should definitely pick this up. It's an amazing game especially if you love dark souls but want a more involved storyline

I just got this on pc. One of my favorites RPGs ever. I loved the designs of the bosses and how you fight them grabbing on their bodies. It's pretty unique.

I for one will glady pay full price for a remastered version of this gem. Hopefully if this sells well enough it will motivate them to drop Dragon's Dogma 2.
