This is why I draw a crude map while I do this Randomizer. It helps immensely. I just draw the outline of the edges of the map and draw letters for the locations of the cities and caves to tell me where each one is and which they are.

Lol I just started playing the latest version of the Randomizer and my very first seed had the sword in the kings chamber at the very beginning. It was actually in the very first chest. The Silver Harp was one of them as well. Pretty awesome break.

A randomizer that does not just randomize where loot is. Yet it moves those annoy old NPCs out of the way and those pesky shop tables. Praise be to the creator. Praise a long life! And not to grow old too fast. As he'd be one of those old annoying NPCs moved to someplace remote. Maybe a Tropical Beach.....you know that would not be a bad fate.

Or they could just not have a terrible setup where the info and webcam window takes up half the screen. The 4-man Free Enterprise race didn't have that problem.

I think NESCardinality pretty much has proved that the Strength/HP build is by far the best. That is the one to go for if you want to go fast, it's not even debatable.

So if you go into the Mountain Cave, die, then go back to the Mountain Cave, does the glitch work then? Would all the chests in the Mountain cave then not disappear in both the rando and vanilla game? I imagine you could use that to grind the gold chest in the Mountain Cave in the vanilla game too right?

Yes, the glitch continues to work because the treasure boxes respawn as soon as you return to the overworld.

Not to be mean, but that's what Sylverfyre gets for not using common sense and choosing the Str/HP build. Why anyone would actually choose a Str/Agi build is beyond me as it's obviously inferior for a speedrun.

Because of a little thing called fun. Not every run needs to be optimized 120%, especially when you go rando. Hell, I prefer MP/Agi builds myself, simply because I hate metas. Same reason I like to run against 500% bosses with unleashed Warmechs everywhere using four White Mages in Entrance/Floor/Town Shuffle FFr. Fun. :3

@@skins4thewin But at the same time, again you also have to remember this "race" was also done in the name of charity, so some things could be embellished in the name of fun and entertainment for the greater good of helping raise awareness for NAMI. Besides, people in the rando community will make it clear a rando race isn't quite the same as a speedrun, and there are even some seeds in some randos, certain randos in general, or rulesets/flags in seeds/races that completely shit on typical speedrunning meta, so as a result, one is free to try using new strats _(Because DWRando uses randomized stat growth that simply favors your build, I've watched races where Str/HP build has blown up in people's faces, including in an earlier build of the rando when in a three-way race they had to grind to Level 23 to beat DL2 when normally 17 would suffice, and if I recall right, the ultimate winner was actually using Agi/HP instead of Str/HP)_ . Besides, "optimized meta strats" are why when it comes to standard speedruns, while I can watch solo speedruns just fine, I have a hard time finding entertainment from speedrun races, because it's just two or more people pretty much doing the same thing because there is very little wiggle room in meta, all set to a clock. Meanwhile I can enjoy a rando race more because until just before the very end and the racers lock in GO Mode, most meta means largely squat, routes diverge, chaos ensues, and unless there is a clear difference in skill/execution between pla``yers, for most of the game you *LITERALLY* have no clue who could be ahead at any given moment, because the next chest/town/dungeon/party member/item/level up/enemy skill/hobo could have the thing they need to win, have complete normie garbage that wastes everyone's time, or just have 10 arrows.

Fun to watch! And solid commentary. Hi Highspirits! Only complaint: commentators aren't supposed to confuse the audience. It took me awhile to figure out what of the runners ate their twin at birth or something so is a "they." I kept looking at both screens trying to figure out what both runners were currently doing that was the same. Just call them by their name if they have pretentious pronouns.

Usually pronouns are listed by the runner's name.

@@jorymil Was this in response to me? If so, I don't get what point you are making in relevance to my point. I will add that if you insist on using "they" and refuse to just use the person's name/screenname (to avoid pronouns altogether), can you at least say "They are" when referring to more than one "they" individual and "They is" when singular? That would also have cleared up any confusion.
