For context to new viewers, Kai 2.9 was a April Fools joke TFS did to cover the filler of the Garlic Jr. arc that they left out of episode 31 (the Krillin's girlfriend episode) and is less of a sped up recap of the other Kai episodes and more of just making fun of the absurdity of the whole Garlic Jr. filler.

The Makankosappo (mah-khan-koh-sap-poh), an attack with a name Piccolo knows, but cannot pronounce. Translated roughly as "Demonic Light Piercing Murder Gun", methinks young Piccolo (he's about six years older than Gohan, so he's a teenager by this episode) was going through an edgy phase when he named the move. Yes, TFS put images in the Solar Flares after the one Goku used on Vegeta.

Yup. Everytime there's a solar flare they insert a one frame image in the middle. I think they started it after the saiyan saga.

what's brilliant is that this explains mr. popo's attitude when he was "making toast" while goku was on his way to the Saiyan's (vegeta & raditz), because he was having a productive day but then he wasn't so he started using the flying carpet, seriously next level references you find so much later

Makes you wonder how long it really took Cell to drain all those people. Even at 1 second per person, a town of 10,000 people would take less than 3 hours, a small city of 100,000 would take 27 hours, and a city of 1 million would take a week and a half. Once you have finished the main series you should watch Kai Parts 1, 2, 3 and 3.5. Funimation re-released Dragon Ball Z, took out all the filler episodes. It drastically cut down the episode count and was called Dragon Ball Z Kai. Funimation abridged the series if you would. Some user had a great idea. Why don’t you do the same thing.
