The bonuses are all equally boring with some exceptions, most tanks for example just get some passive DR, except for blood and vengeance. Most of the set bonuses seem to put an emphasis on getting some crit, which is fine, a lot of specs were avoiding crit because it had little to no interaction with them. I like the overall design.

I agree. Strong enough to be relevant, but not so eleborate that it completely changes up a class and makes it harder to balance, resulting in bigger class imbalances. But then again, I'm a filthy casual that sees legendaries only as a means to not end up on the bottom of the DPS meter while doing my 34th LFR run.

I think the set bonusses are more basic then we are used to because the rest of the class is completely new and it will not change your basic rotation to much at the start of this xpac... Like you said while I was typing this xD

I've been dipping in and out of the game since Burning Crusade and although at times I've got a bit bored and needed a break - I've always thought the game was pretty great. I loved Legion for alt leveling tbh. BfA was good too. I always had more like 5 chars on max level. Shadowlands? I had one, my main, and every alt I started just was boring and way too exhausting to play after four levels. I dont care what they do, I don't care how they do it, I want to play my alts. I want to have fun. I want some story, not even necessarily action story. That's all I care about now. I have no beta access yet but if I get one before release I'm gonna look at the game before i preorder/buy Dragonflight. The times where I just instantly buy it bc it's WoW, my first and dearest game ever is kinda over since SL. It wasn't sooo bad but it.. wasn't the WoW I knew and loved. DF looks promising and sooo good but SL did look good too. I'm positive tho. It's gonna be good. Let's hope.

I'm actually really pleased with the tier sets. They're obviously powerful and you want them, but they're not so absurdly power creeping that the expansion will feel like tier sets are yet another major source of borrowed power leaving our toons feeling empty in further expansions.

I personally am in the low hype camp. I'm curious about the changes but it's more a, "I'm going to be playing this because my friends are playing it" sort of deal. For me my engagement with this expansion will hinge on if they keep the same old mechanics designed to train my habits and force me to maximize my play time to play the content I would like to access. They've made big steps forward, but you know, they also did at the end of legion with the legendaries, then they did again at the end of BFA with buyable corruptions and easier to get essences, and during shadowlands, we've had the whole "pull the ripcord" thing being a part of the game for so SO long when it didn't even make any sense. I'm now very ready for someone in upper Blizz to figure out some new way to fuck it up and disrespect their player's time in the hunt for good metrics about player engagement to show investors. This is also from the same corporation that published Diablo immoral 5 months ago. Will they be able to imbue THIS product with respect for their many and varied players time and playstyles? When they've already clamped down on it again and again at the launch of *every* recent expansion? I do appreciate the changes they're making, but goddamn, I'm so ready for them to fuck it all up. So I'm currently in a pessemisium powered mole machine, but you can have some of my hopium to power the blimp. We wait and see.

Good that Tally didn't use Protection Paladin as an example for the Tier set bonuses. ** 4% versatility.... for a while ** 4% parry ... basically 1% parry per tier piece (up to 4 pieces, we wouldn't want a class to get out of cotrol parrying 100% of the time)
