Recently people have been using bomb with first Shadowstrike cast and use beacon after the first symbols of death press to gain maximum value for crit. For those that arent aware crit and vers affects trinkets ability to crit or dmg so since symbols provides 10% crit you get a higher chance. With versatility the more you have the more dmg it will do.

Hello thanks for the guide its hard to find good content to sub rogues. I have two questions am I doing something wrong if the cold blood/secret techniques macro is'nt working properly. It seems that if you press it to fast cold blood isnt going off. Second question: How do I catch combo points better it seems like Iam button smashing too often and sometimes I have full combo points but at that point I have already pressed a cp builder so I am effectivels overcapping.

hey man, just getting back into sub rogue after a long break and this has helped a lot since its no longer spin to win with three macros like it was in shadowlands haha, i was just curious if you start this opener with symbols or do you wait until rotation is over to buff downtime? also any macros for blind or kick or your preferred methods to focus target and your priority focus targets in m plus would be rad. ive just been pushing hpal so this a whole new world again for me.

Our 4p gives symbols when we dance that’s why we don’t use it during opener if you don’t have 4p you can use it during dance. Typically you use SOD off CD unless dance is going to be back up soon. I just use focus kicks I play Aug now in m+ since my team wanted to

This is for pve. Typically PvP doesn’t have a rotation but this video can be a simple guideline for how you would want to do dmg in pvp

I see when you go to cast Shadow strike on your opener, you gain the Slice N Dice buff. Are you macroing Slice n Dice to your shadow strike or it a passive buff?

No that comes from our talent called Premeditation which gives 10s of SnD when casting shadowstrike from stealth

You dont hit Symbols off cd in opener because our 4 set gives us symbols of death for a couple seconds. and yes outside of dance you are press gloomblade eviscerate unless you are maintaining rupture/snd

Gloomblade should be higher than Shadowstrike majoirt of the time! The ST M+ rotation will be somewhat the same. Dance > Shadowstrike > Evis > Shadowstrike > Gloomblade > Stech > Shadowstrike > Evis this is ideally what it will look like in Mythic+ ST

Was wondering, why do you vanish to use Shadowstrike during Shadow Dance? You can already use Shadowstrike while in Shadow Dance, does it do more damage somehow or what am i missing? Also why do you need to use Thistle Tea when you enter shadow dance? Do you really need the increased energy regen there, you used it at full energy. (Sorry if these are stupid questions, im a non rogue player and looking to get into it).

Hello we vanish because its a DPS increase ontop of giving an extra CP and 10s of Slice n Dice. We thistle in the opener because it give you 19.6% mastery for 6s its not for the 100 energy.

You wanna get all ticks of finality buffed rupture before you get the non buffed one on your target. If you refresh rupture during pandamic you only wanna do this if you improve it with a buffed one so you get the full duration finatlity rupture on your target.

Nah you always wanna do it at around 9s if you have the right timing you refresh will always end up 9s and your finality rupture will be the last global before dance is up. If you wait the entire duration your timings will be messed up and you will either lose the buff or it will disappear when dances ends.

@@Genmurasaki for just raiding and a quick overview i'm sure you can use this but if you wanna rly get the most out of sub rogue i'm sure you want to use all ticks of the buffed rupture you can get. for example your asvg cvast of rupture on kazzara does 312.1k my avg cast does 358.7k. thats not only a minor difference.

you got it my man after you learn the opener everything else is easy. They rotation is 100% scripted we dont have any procs or anything so once you got it you got it. Its just 5 buttons back n forth.

which part are you having difficulty with? If it helps dont think of how many buttons you have to press, but rather the general core of the build. Realistically most classes only have 4-5 actual buttons to press alot. For Sub rogues Gloomblade, Eviscerate, Shadow Dance, Secret technique. Are the only things you will be pressing multitudes of times. If you can get use to just doing that you can do good dmg and add in the other parts later.

@Genesis-cc9cl but that's the issue isn't it. If the core of a class isn't even half it's rotation, is it even learning? A new player could nvr hope to dream of learning how to combo secret tech and cold blood, instead of something else. Or when to reliably press dance. Shadow blades is prob the worst cd in the game but reads like it's a big deal that you should work around when in reality you press it and forget on cd. These specs are simple at it's core but the core is 25 layers deep and you can only get there 1 lick at a time

Playing League of legends there are 100+ champs you have to know every ability if you want to climb. Literally any game besides shooters is like that. If you can press Dance > Gloom blade > Eviscerate > Shadow strike > Secret technique > Shadow strike. You can green parse. Thats only 5 buttons and it will never be a different order.

@@gamer8622 WoW was never a game about instant gratification if thats what youre asking for. Your entire journey 1-70 teaches you how to play the game fundamentally. Now all you have to do is spend an hour or two at the dummy and youve figured out how to play rogue.
