The easy pumping, accuracy, multi-shot magazine, reasonable trigger pull, and nice wood stock have convinced me…I’m going to buy one of these and use it as a training rifle for my nine year old grandson. Of course I will also use it for bird control on our farm. This is the second review I’ve watched that demonstrated the excellent accuracy of the rifle. Well done and thank you.

the tech's old, you can pick up cheap ones (that come surprisingly close to budget .177 PCP performance) for under $100. This model's nice because it makes pumping easier.

Crosman will regret that they did not keep the inventor named Bob Moss on board. Hope Air Venturi will consider the idea of installing this in a Pcp pump. Then imagine! Filling an Umarex Origin with a "Dragon fly" pcp pump. That would negate the statement that "dreams are deception". Nice wooden stock, no serious effort, good shooting power..... If this ever comes to my country I will have been able to devour the necessary revews and or videos on YT in the meantime. If extremely positive, this will be my first multipump air rifle. Wonder if the thinking about this patented butterfly system comes from the butterfly valves in the water industry?

The Seneca aspen is pretty close to what your describing, a pcp that has a built in pump. I love the idea, but unfortunately the reviews I’ve seen have been disappointing from those that actually own them. Hopefully the quality control on the rifle has improved or will over time
@j.verfaillie57422 жыл бұрын
@@Possum880 A while back I meant a pcp hand pump with the pump system of the Dragonfly. I am convinced that there will be a pcp hand pump that requires less effort. If not, it's just a matter of biting your teeth and waiting for the market to be saturated and the prices of the electrics to collapse. I share your opinion of the Seneca Aspen. Perhaps they are currently working to get rid of all the pain points. Then the Aspen certainly remains a purchase to consider. The Avenger has tremendous qualities for its price, but repeated similar negative comments from buyers have made me drop out anyway. 2023 is not far off. Curious which brand will surprise us.
@Possum8802 жыл бұрын
@@j.verfaillie5742 Oh I understand now, yes a hand pump with a dragonfly system would be incredible. Unfortunately looking into the Aspen’s issues, I found out that they actually recommend not pumping the rifle from 0 and that the built in hand pump should only be used to maintain a sweet spot of psi. That completely ruins the appeal of the rifle to me, a pcp that doesn’t require a secondary accessory to charge it sounds amazing, especially when the cost of pcps can be so high compared to other power plants. Hopefully over time a company can innovate and bring us a true all in one pcp

Thoughts on potential durability issues with the pump levers? Does the lower effort make it less likely for a user to twist/bend the pump arm? My 392 had that problem but I had the original arm replaced with a solid billet one during Steroidization.

With the longer wooden forearm protecting the linkage, I don't think this could be damaged very easily. The gun in the video has nearly 2000 pumps under it's belt, no issues other than needing to be lubricated every so often.

Greetings Tyler, It's great to see an alternative in the air rifle world. I for one remember pumping those heavy crossman back in the 80's for a kid it wasn't fun. I see for the 2nd time crossman pellets made a better group than those big brand. Do you see crossman coming with new improvement in their pellets in near future.
@wildrangeringreen2 жыл бұрын
Crossman Pellet's biggest issue is consistent weight. If you sort by weight and eliminate the few dinged up skirts and deformed noses, I've found their pellets shoot just as well as everyone else's. My Crossman 1000 likes the.177 10.something grainers meant for their magnum springers lol.
@tylerpatner65912 жыл бұрын
If they do, I haven't heard anything about it yet. But honestly, their pellets aren't bad normally, they just rarely are the best in a gun when we test. It's nice to see them shoot very well in a few guns.
@davidf49582 жыл бұрын
The Crosman was the lightest pellet tested, so it might just be the weight. I ordered one, my first multi-pump, and will try it with light H&N pellets. It will probably be as good or even better. Thanks for the review and your excellent customer service
@tylerpatner65912 жыл бұрын
@@davidf4958 It was the lightest pellet that performed well, we typically test around 15 different pellets in .22 cal guns, that includes H&N FTT's (14.6 grains) and JSB Express 14.3's as well. At least in our gun, neither of those shot nearly as well. Maybe your mileage will vary.
