There is a good thread on Gateway to Airguns on these rifles. Well, a few threads but one big one 28+ pages. A few of the mods to get full or better power is to adjust the piston close to the valve (more air per pump), ream the valve exhaust port and transfer port, de burr the barrel transfer hole, clip or install a WEAKER hammer spring (hammer smacks the valve so hard it bounces causing it to burp instead of full release) which is why you have to cock it before pumping. One guy was getting around 900 FPS in .177 with only 9-10 pumps IIRC. Pumping force if you take your time is ~16 lbs per stroke if anyone was wondering.

That’s the way I see it. They are actually almost or are a piece of survival gear. I don’t care what other people say you don’t need a 3030 or 38 or 357. You need an air rifle you can carry 500 rounds in your pocket and it only weighs almost nothing compared to caring 50 rounds of any other caliber rifle.

I traded a guy 2 brake barrels for a Dragon fly mk 2 a few months ago . The dragon fly is a great gun, but with one problem after you pump it 6 - 10 times, the screws in the forstock all come. Loose !

You don’t need a compressor I have one I have PCPs dirt pretty nice but if you don’t have electricity, what are you gonna do pump and you can still feed yourself maybe small game but it’s enough to live on with fish and small game

Do I need an adapter to put a moderator on this particular air rifle?.... ...Also, where can I buy the moderator?

It has a 1/2"x20 threads already on it. You will need to do a search for a moderator.

I got a little something on the way too… brown Santa should be here Wednesday with my new rifle…. Had a malfunction with my airacuda but I think I got it straightened out…. The check valve was dumping all my air when I would bleed my pump hopefully it holds up but the gun seems pretty user friendly to work on I will say. I’m not much of a gunsmith but I understood the idea while taking it apart….. it shoots so much better than anything I’m used to but I got a Macavity Arms Agility MA2 in the .30 long barrel configuration coming my way so I’m excited to start getting the data 📊 📉 📈 hopefully everything works it looks promising and it packs a little more punch than the JTS .25 80 foot pounds is going towards .22LR power!!!🎉🎉🎉
