DragonForce 65 Overview Setup

Had a great sail until. The FlySky transmitter shows the receiver battery level which I checked before sailing it showed 50% battery left. I sailed for an hour and when I was 20 feet from the dock the transmitter started beeping and the boat commenced to circle. I was lucky the wind had picked up and pushed the boat towards the dam doing circles. I got my fishing pole, tied on my 4 bladed prop with 3" foam wheel and weight. I snagged the boat a few times pulling it to the bank where I could pull it out of the pond. Didn't hurt anything but my pride, provided some laughs for folks, it was a great day.

Paul as soon as they finished the Dock and opened the pond the winds vanished. It would have to be perfect day to sit on the dock in the summer heat and humidity sailing. I miss sailing as well, thank you Jeff

Joe that's funny. My little $40 FlySky I6s shows the battery voltage on the DF 65, or any plane, on this day it showing just above half. I'd planed on putting new batteries in before the next outing. I sailed for about an hour and half came in for a "break" then went back out, the DF 65 just got far enough from the dock where I couldn't reach it and went into failsafe. Failsafe is big circles. It took the wind about an hour before the DF 65 got to where I could snag it with my fishing pole. I'm swapping out my batteries now every two months or when the level gets to 3/4. The power system is like a flash light on or off without any constant draw. Four AA batteries are what powers the receiver and two servos for the boat. Thank you, Jeff

No shrouds are needed for this boat?

Correct shrouds not needed with this design. The mast goes through almost touches the bottom of the hall. Lot's of fun in an easy to handle and store size that you don't have to take apart each time you want to go sailing, just grab and go. WSOX Man thank you, Jeff

@@JeffinLowerAlabama Just to be sure. You can pick up the boat to place and remove from the water, by using the mast? Not much holding that mast down.

@@wsoxman5375 yes you can lift it up by the mast, wouldn't want to carry it by the mast, have been using the mast from day one, no issues

@@JeffinLowerAlabama Oh, youre using the standard batteries that are just find. But My boat has a additional battery area for rechargeable type. I want to seal the hull cap and not open it to check or change out batteries.
