I first started listening to Dragonforce in 2007 as I was preparing to deploy to Afghanistan, this song has felt like the perfect description of my tour, and my life after. "Burning fires burning lives on the long distant roads; Through the lost mountains endless so far away from home; Warrior soldiers forever we fought long ago; We’re all lost in the darkness so far away from home" it's been nearly 15 years since I came home, several of my friends were not so lucky, some days things are great, other days I quite literally feel "Lost in the darkness, so far away from home" I love this song despite the emotions it stirs reflecting on that period in my life. Thankful for the music that helped me though a rough time, and continues to help me process what i've been through.

Found an mp3 player in high school. Couldn't afford one so I kept it. Soldiers of the wasteland was on it. Not long later GH3 came out. Featuring through the fire and the flames. I knew at that point Dragonforce was my favorite band. A year later. My first concert in an area I grew up in I watched Dragonforce play live right after discovering another favorite Power glove.
