Noobie2k7 yeah this current doctor has no personality what so ever. Certainly not that of a doctor. They should all be individual I get, but they should also all be strong, bold and intimidating characters. Jodie’s doctor is just god awful. And so are the episodes!

Noobie2k7 for example, i like them all for their own reasons. The 9th I felt was very adventurous and spontaneous, the 10th I got most emotionally attached too because of his contrast of fun and pain, 11th was a big bubble of fun and added a very young spirit and the 12th I thought was like a funny little alien. I think all of those traits work with a time lord. Jodie has no unique trait. It’s such a shame because she’s the first bad doctor I’ve ever watched myself.

@@Jwallworth Even Matt Smiths Doctor who is seen as the 'goofy' one had many very serious and emotional moments and episodes. He knew when to do these different things. Jodie just seems so bland. I only watched th first couple episodes then decided i wasn't going to give them the ratings anymore as they're not worth it. I do need to go back and watch more of Capaldi's Doctor i think and just try to stomach Clara.

Noobie2k7 yes definitely. Matt Smith was an incredibly good doctor and had a lot of talent. I definitely was torn between him and tennant as ‘my doctor’ and I think honestly when I rewatch the series I think Matt just does it for me. Like you said, his emotional range is spot on. I did the same with Jodie’s episodes. I watched that spider episode which I believe was number 4? And after that I thought this is just a god awful series what on Earth is this? As if they tried to turn it into a drama and not a sci-fi show. Yeah it took me a long time to accept capaldi as the doctor, much longer than David and Matt but eventually I think he developed a unique character that worked. Not many people enjoyed Clara. I think capaldi just wasn’t blessed with good circumstances but I really believe he had the potential to be one of the best doctors! He put in some great performances but I must say his episodes aren’t as memorable and that’s the issue. Plus his companions were never that easy to attach to. The sad part is, after years of enjoying a good show we’ve both stopped watching entirely. Think they’ll manage to bring it back? Or they’ll just scrap the show again?
