I honestly believe the scene where the Doctor and Donna meet again and have that conversation mouthing to each other between two windows, is probably the best scene in all of Who. Because we don't hear either of them say a word, but we can still understand the entire conversation, and it's hilarious. That is some quality acting, writing and directing.

Just a sign of how accurate they were with what time period they were supposed to be in. It was the 1800s, after all. Not to mention just being publicly homosexual was outright illegal, in most places in the world. Included "engaging in acts of passion", like kissing someone of the same sex "with romantic passion", or even showing similar romantic affection, or arousal, for someone of the same sex in public. And yes, even just visible romatic affection of a member of the same sex would be a criminal offense at the time. EDIT: Fixed the first sentence.

Sign of the times. Thank goodness that the world is working on these issues, I say. I wish all people could feel free to be themselves, even nowadays, without fear of persecution from just saying, "Hello, my name is ____. And I am from _______, and I love _____ and _____!" Almost anytime I fill in that sentence structure, or similar (or I see someone else do so) the person will usually get judged beyond reason, without a reason, except for, "Welcome to the Internet!", or calling them [or myself] names, like asking if [I'm] "a N00b on social media for the first time?". It's pitiful, how some people, many of which are younger, less-educated people in their mid-late teens and very early 20s, are thinking that they have some kind of power over others. Age range based on many of the profiles like that that I have seen, but I can't really tell, of course. It is the Internet.) Just outright judging people that they don't even know, because they can, and they don't have to see the other person's reaction. Seriously, how can anyone be any less welcome online just necause of who they naturally are? I mean, if we were talking about someone being dangerous, in a realistic sense, like saying they wanted to hurt someone, then they absolutely should be reported, censored, [from chat rooms, social media sites, etc.], and investigated IRL (like a Wellness check.)
