Ngl, these new Chaos Dragons feels like a better engine to Dragonmaid than Rulers by the simple fact that the engine is much smaller on both main and extra deck.

Duality shines in this deck so much. If you have the space you can duality in dispater and archfiend abyss dragon.

one important thing to have in mind is that the correct translation of the materials are lv 7 or higher dragon monster and one dragon fusion monster

Its crazy to me that people arent maxing out on the light and darkness dragons. They are THE best externders for the deck outside of Hospitality.

Running 6 of those is straight up brick city lmao. You only need 2-4 at most and that'd be if you REALLY want to fuse that badly. I just run 2 Dark End because it's also good at breaking boards if you don't need to fuse Edit: Though i might try a bigger package with maybe 1-2 light end + duality too when the fusion hits edo

@@Jaddas I know what a brick is Do you? Cuz clearly if you're willing to run 3 copies of both in maids you probably either don't care or don't know. It's excessive, you genuinely only need at most a 2-2 ratio. This isn't LADDL turbo, if you wanna do that go play rulers or something

You can argue that more non-engine will on avg be more impactful and we can have a discussion about it, but i think they are cards i want to see in my opening hand, so i max out on them. Dragonmaids have very limited extension through handtraps. Lets use Parlor as an example. If i normal summon Parlor and get handtraped, how many ways are there for me to extend through it? 1. Lorpar already being in hand which allows me to do the combo normally. (1of) 2. Stern which allows me to seals pass. (1-2of) 3. Hospitality allowing me to do a slightly better version of the normal combo (Thats why i mentioned it as the best extender in the og comment) Thats it. 5-6 cards that allow you to play the game through a single handtrap. If i wanted a deck with a 49,7% chance to beat a single effect veiler, id play crystal beast. On top of their ablitiy to summon sheou in these situations providing me with an omni negate and followup, they also often allow me to summon sheou before comiting to my normal summon. They also massively improve your endboard by allowing you to access to light and Darkness dragonlord, which is on its own 3 negates. They have the stats to run over/threaten smaller monsters like i:p/s:p or kashtira monsters, extend through interuptions which is this decks biggest weakness and lift the ceiling of your combos drastically. Why the hell would i only want a 23,7% chance of opening them? They are some of the best cards of the deck.

@@Jaddas It just seems a bit idk.. win more? I do get the whole limited disruption thing, i really do. Hell i built my own deck around that fact. But going 3 and 3 still seems excessive. Like yes there's factually a lesser chance of drawing them if you don't do that but at the same time you're giving up non engine slots just for basically more attempts at fusion. Which i would agree with 100% If it wasn't for the fact that Light End is far worse than Dark End. Most run Dark End exclusively because it can pop cards and fuse. Light end has a useless BP effect that only works if your opp is attacking. I guess you could argue that "hey if Dark End gets stopped, you now have another chance to fuse" but at that point it feels like you'd just rather have non engine to slow down your opp or soften boards. I will say though since you were nice enough to explain your thought process behind it i'll at least try having both dragons in the deck and see how it fairs. I think post Regis is a good time to try it anyways as they grant the ability to go into Sheou as well so you can use Lady to go into Regis

You can consider Hot Red Archfiend Abyss for second Duality Target,you can use House to summon it Also for more consistency you can run Sangen Kaimen to add Kitchen

People for some reason keep underestimating DMaid and just assume all their cards will be for DLink which is hilarious cuz Maids are B tier in OCG atm. And Dlink hasn't shown up even once yet. Even with the supposed "Dmaid package". If it's going to show up at all it'll probably be post Aliance Insight with the Dragon Rulers but they aren't adopting a maid package when black metal/tracer lines are still better. Small ramble aside, nice video. A buddy mentioned Duality with the new fusion so it's nice to see that it finally doesn't feel like a win more card somewhere (even if it didn't really show up in this video iirc, though it can be used to dodge imperm/veiler on lady)

The Ruler engine is probably the most powerful and consistent for Dragonmaid, but it's also kinda big so idk if people will actually use it over the Chaos Dragons metawise.

Listen, all what I will say, an archetype with no legacy whatsoever, got a phantom of yubel kidna card, meaning a contact fusion from GY WHILE HEROs with their legacy didnt get one. a historic deck like this deserves it MORE than this "waifu bait" konami is doing.

HEROs just got very strong support, and have been getting support that keeps them at least rogue for years. Dmaid has never really gotten anything, so this support was needed. I think instead of supporting already good decks, bringing back older decks like dmaid and crystron is a better option.
