Have used the 0.43x on an iographer mount with ipad and it works really great. No issues whatsoever. I guess for some uses not so good, for others like mine it is really good and recomended for the price.

I bought one of the Xit 2.2 telephoto lenses and tried it on my 18-55mm lens and my 50-200mm zoom lens. Both had a problem with vignetting with this attachment. I broke out my Pentax da 50mm f1.8 a wide angle prime lens and added this Xit 2.2 telephoto lens on it and that took care of the vignetting, it was gone and I can use the Xit lens now. So if your zooms are having this trouble like mine and you have a wide angle prime try it!

These lenses were made for the 18-135mm and I was about 2 feet away from the camera in the test shot I did.

These adapters do seem to be paired to specific lenses, so I hope you have the correct adapter for your lens. Keep in mind that, whatever brand adapter you buy, it will most probably be made by the same manufacturer. Also, the prices are about 50% less now, than when this video was made, so shop around. there are not many review on these adapters but i notice that nobody pointed this: I bought the 0.43x wide angle but IT IS NOT 0.43! I tested with my 28-75 zoom and found that it's actually only 0.74!! I tested in different ways at different focal lengths and got the same number. Am I saying something stupid or it just happened that nobody actually tested this?

There is a bit of an issue with vignetting when you are taking photos but during video it is much less apparent.

When you say they're lens adapters, does that mean that you need to layer them over another lens? Or can they be used independently?

You need to use them on top of another lens. I used them over my Canon 18-135 lens to make it wider.

Most of the times if you unscrew the bottom part of the wide angle you can still use the top part as fish eye.

I used a 0.43x wide angle professional lens it's 52mm and before I used it my camera lens was fine, I tried it and now my camera's focus won't go back to normal? It will only focus on REALLY close things other things are ridiculously blurry, how to I fix it?

Hi! I tried the 2.2 telephoto attached to my 55-250mm zoom today and every shot had horrible neon blue "edging" around parts of the image. I tried a few different settings. I had the zoom fully extended as that was the whole reason I wanted to use the 2.2...to get close to 500mm, but the image quality was horrid. Any ideas of what was wrong?

Nothing's wrong, those lenses on amazon for like $20 that give you those types of zooms like 2.2X are just horrible quality glass. Nothing you can do about it unless you got one with good quality glass, like if Canon made their own version of these then that would be great.

If they are 67mm lenses, you should not need an adapter. They should screw on to the front of the lens.

the 0.35x added to an 18mm lens would make it a 6.3mm equivalent lens. However with the 0.43x lens attachment to an 18mm lens would make it a 7.74mm equivalent lens, so you are only getting a 1.44mm difference, in conclusion, the 0.35x version just gives a wider image than the 0.43x version.

I'm pretty sure it does. I have a smaller add on lens and it does that. Cheapo wide angles do that and at least this one does not leave a stupid perfect circle blur dead center of every photo

I bought those and they are complete shit. The wide angle adapter only work at a distance of 50mm at least, otherwise you get a completely black vignetting around the image , and just reproduce an image of 18mm with heavy distortion. Cool the first time you use, but then you never get to use it again. Any teleconverter filter simply doesn't work, the image becomes heavily blurred, the camera can't focus and should be forbidden to sell that shit as a camera accessory. The Macro filter is actually nice, I got some good pictures with it in my mother's garden, the camera keep focusing and although doesn't have all that great a magnification you can take pictures incredibly close and they are completely usable.

I also have similar lens filters by Vivitar and I agree that telephoto filters are mostly useless. But personally I don't mind the Vignette of blurriness you get with these types of filters because I like to add a mask of gaussian blur in post to center focus around my subject for cinematic work and if I can do it in camera I will. The only issue that I find annoying is the chromatic aberration you sometimes get with lens filters.
