Dragons Dogma II has MAJOR issues, though I do enjoy the game a lot there's just too many issues plaguing this game. story wise especially. So let's discuss why! Thank you for watching, liking, and subscribing! I appreciate your time.

Honestly, after playing near 210 hours of DD2, it feels like it suffers from the similar issues the first one had. I'm not sure if there was enough dev time/capcom pushing a deadline, or too many ideas, etc. But i have so many questions. There was so much to pull from out of DD1 or DDO, it was surprising how little actually made it into DD2. Don't get me wrong, everything the game currently has is what i wanted out of sequel, but something feels like it's missing, I believe that was the repeatable/RNG content and hard mode of DDDA (yes DA was DLC, but still, it was a great piece of content that something similar should've been here imo). It really made the game far more enjoyable that there was a place i could go if i wanted to do some grinding, get some good armor or do fun challenges. In my personal opinon, given what we know about the dev struggles of DD1, itsuno really focused on building and fleshing out the world itself, he wanted to make it as big as he possibly could because he wasn't able to do so the first time. I have faith that when DD2 gets DLC, it'll have the game not feel so haphazard when it comes to storybuilding, since we will have the full scope of what's really going on

The talos actually DOES stick around if you defeat it early enough and you can use it to take out 2 of the 4 final bosses

I could not agree more, I can't recommend this to my friends either, I think additions like FREE and unlimited fast travel would've been great, a quick way to climb down cliffs safely instead of going the longer way down, having to cross a bridge instead of the game's lazy "Brine" excuse of you not being able to simply cross a river, your camping kit breaking because you get ambushed and you don't have a spare so you have to travel until you find a new one because they also weigh a damn lot you don't just have a spare with you, the game simply punishing you for dying so much your health starts lowering as you load your save, that's just a dick move honestly, low amount of side quests; they said to simply talk to NPCs but the NPCs I talk to don't want to be bothered, no other separate game saves, I'd love to have up to 3 game saves in this damn "single player" game, and the ability to create saves and simply load any of them, that's probably the biggest thing I've gotten actually mad about lol, one mistake and the game f***s you by autosaving right there lmao, great game design, anyways I'd say this game is a painfully average 5/10.

You forgot no rewards to exploration, slower combat than the original, bland dungeons, horrible bland music and useless quest rewards. : P

If this is the worst reasons you can come up with on why the game sucks then it really isn't that bad then. All problems you've mentioned are frictions and is a purely subjective thing because some people like it and some don't. I myself have issues with the game because there's not enough of those frictions. I wish they didnt have the camping mechanic, so it makes it more fun and challenging. With the only way to heal fully is the next inn. For me I rate it 7/10. 9/10 if they added more difficulty and removed the camping entirely and made night time a lot more longer.

Love the game but basically it should only be hit up on P.C to add the essential mechanism to it fixes and add on until we get a chance to check out the DLC they reckon they gonna add.

I feel like most of the MT stuff was there because it was stuff already being offered in the Deluxe Edition. Also, outside of the Ring of BoneZoning, every MT option is fairly easy to earn in game.

You may have missed... the REAL ending of the game... I agree with all of your points, the game is disappointing, because it has so much potential... but you did actually miss a large piece of content which was essentially "hidden." Basically... if you beat the game, after killing the dragon, and talk to the ghostly Pathfinder dude sitting in the desk in near your throne in the ROLLING CREDITS... you actually get returned to the dragon ride to the arena, go towards his back and wait till you hear his heart.... then use the SWORD that you had to forge. Create a forged version of the same sword and give it to the quest-giver, allowing you to keep the the REAL sword. Do this, and then use the sword there. If you wish to play the game again, I recommend you do this. Thank me later!

You can also enter without killing the dragon, if you do the exact same thing on the way to battle. I did fight him first time, then was curious if I could skip it second time… it worked!

Doesn’t change the fact fast travel is worse than dark arisen, skills are more slimmed down for the classes, and difficulty isn’t really there.

It's stunning to me that ppl play elden ring, no problem, but didn't figure out there was a whole endgame. Why would you be able to climb the dragon ... during the credits... to its shining heart? Then they all complain its short and shallow

yeah you can tell a lot of corners were cut Pathfinder should not have wanted you to get the God's Bane blade it just doesn't make sense and even the seneschal he was ready for a fight Rothias should have been a boss that activates the talos and gives you a weaker godsway that works but does not get a true ending. (you beat the dragon or run away roll credits) if anything The pathfinder should have muddied the well about this guy but he does non of that. how it talks in the unmoored world about you not wanting to do your duty can be put back on him because he basically lead you into getting the thing that gives you the choice he was negligent in his duty to keep the cycle but he talks down on the PC for it that's just silly. they could have easily wrote it that if you do the queen questline and save the queen they give alternative way into the shrine would be nice and the scientist doesn't need to be jedi mind tricked into helping you because you saving the queen gives him higher opinion of the PC. Atm the story feels like Chat GPT wrote it and they just took a few lines out of what the AI said. and the NPCs themselves need to be better thought into atm there is a mod on Nexus that increases the Dialogue that NPCs have and because capcom makes their game harder to edit the mod has harder time it feels not in the world but it's 1 gb of sound files for NPCs ad pawns ell thought out stuffs by one gut with an Idea. to capcom if you are going to obstruct mods why not make a quality product that people won't feel the need to mod? links here www.nexusmods.com/dragonsdogma2/mods/829?tab=description They will likely add a lot to the game. DD1 was this undercooked DD2 is successful game so basically Capcom learned nothing. with these corps I feel like tyhey will ask how can they deliver less and what other corners can they cut. DD2 should not have released like this it really shouldn't have. the people that support the game and like it get the worst version of the product.

From what i have seen, all negative things people have to say about this game are all subjective tastes, and some are even just nitpicky. The only objective complaint are performance issues on PC. Its a good 7/10 for me.

I've had some good fun with the game, but the story is kinda just there. The only arguable main character besides your silent protagonist and your robotic pawn, is Brant, a quest and exposition machine. Also me fighting every type of mob basically 10 hours in is kinda sad. This game to me could be an easily be a 8 or 9 to me, but I don't even care about the microtransactions or no fast travel, it's the clear laziness and lack if depth they put into the game. Also as someone who never played the first game it doesn't really effect me, but from what I've heard this is lowkey more of a remaster/remake with DLC than a sequel, I can see how old fans are disappointed.

If they hired actual writers, maybe spruce up some characters with non exposition dialog so I could actually care about the people. And tbh doubled the enemy variety; mainly for small monsters cause you fight goblins, humans, harpies, lizard dudes every corner, game could be perfect. And as much as i love pawns as a system, give them more than 7 lines or something, cause the just say things that are nothing for a majority of thr game. That or add more music and decrease their dialog a bit unless in line with theirpersonality. I would love a sequel but I'm nervous cause that's what DD1 players said, and still didn't get their completed vision.
