This is the most comprehensive guide ever! Truly the best Warrior guide in the Internet. I have been watching you for many years and although your editing skills have been more than impressive, the editing, scrip, and alignment of this video is on another level. Madam, I salute you and your time, work, and dedication to this game and for showing love that is much needed to the underdog which is the Warrior. I think that many people steer away from the Warrior because they don't know about 90% of what you put into this video. Hell, I've been playing this game since its release, well over a decade ago, and there were some things I didn't know that you presented in this masterpiece of a showcase. Thank you once again and keep up the fantastic work. Cheers.

This is a very nice guide for newer players or someone who never really played Warrior. I've got over 4K hours in this game and when a first started played I hated Warrior. But once I figured out that Warrior is not a dps class but cc and built around maximizing kd's and staggers I really started to love it and it's my 2nd favorite class. I still feel like Warrior should be given at least 1 utility skill slot so it can use a skill like pommel bash, war cry or catapult blade because those three skills become pretty much useless once you get better once. Tbf pommel bash does have some uses but it's very situational at best.

This really is an extremely helpful guide for one of the classes in Dragon's Dogma that is hardest to get really good at, given how many limitations warriors have compared to other classes (especially that stupid thing where they can only equip 3 skills compared to all other classes having 6...). Holy cow! I praise your last video for being an excellent step into more informational stuff and then you go and drop *THIS* monster of a video! I cannot be any more impressed! This is easily the most thorough and expertly composed guide for anything DD related I've ever seen, and the fact that you even thought to highlight certain topics for newer players at the start speaks volumes about the level of care and consideration you put into it. Also, the section on the creature specific interactions was so eye-opening! I never knew about those things you can do to the cyclopses (hearing you call them sigh-clo-peas will never stop being amusing, lol), or that you can just bop a dragon's wings to drop them out of the sky. I also never knew that you can jump cancel the follow-up attack of Exodus Slash. I've always been one of those people who just stuck with Escape Slash to avoid doing the downward swing. Now I feel like I've been playing wrong this whole time, hah! Oh, and if I might ask, I'm curious how long you've had this video planned; and how long did it take you to make?
@Infinite_Cringe Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. It's really heartwarming receiving longer comments like these. As for how long, it was a minimum of two weeks spent editing and recording, but I wrote the first draft of the script many months ago. It was a very mentally taxing video to make, gathering all the footage I needed, but my goal was to make the best warrior guide on the internet, so had to push myself a little bit. Glad people seem to be enjoying it.

@@Infinite_CringeYou're welcome! No doubt it must've felt super gratifying to finish, and even more so now given the glowing reception it's getting! I'd wholeheartedly say that you accomplished that goal you set for yourself! I have to gush about Ecliptic Slash a bit. It's the upgraded version of Corona Slash that requires a Warrior Band or Warrior Ring from BBI. The upgraded version of the attack does one very small but noteworthy thing: it increases the AOE of the attack. This gives Warrior a quick AOE attack, something it is sorely lacking. Both Corona and Ecliptic Slash have good stagger and knockdown. Capable of knocking down poison undead, skeleton brutes, emilinators, living armor, elder ogre, and gorecyclops to name a few. In addition to the wonderful AOE damage, stagger, and knockdown, the attack possesses a unique flinching effect. If an enemy (typically small to mid sized) is caught just outside of the AOE, it will not be damaged, but it will enter a flinching animation. The animation lasts a bit, and enemies impacted are left wide open for attacks by you and pawns. Very handy for controlling groups of enemies and staying safe in the process. Such a great under-valued skill!

Awesome warrior guide! Please make more of these!
@Nowaylarry Жыл бұрын
Good guide. Warrior is a fun vocation to play once you are familiar with the game. Not really my recommendation for a first playthrough but it is probably my favorite of the red vocations. Exodus into the jump light attack feels like a more engaging version of Assassin's sword counter (clarity? Can't remember the name). Honestly the only changes for the vocation I hope to see in the sequel are six skill slots and a slightly more practical heavy attack.

43 minutes? Yes fucking please! Edit: Always wondered, do you like the way the game handles stat increases when leveling? I always found it frustrating that to get the numbers I wanted, I would have to play vocations I didn't want to.
@_Jay_Maker_ Жыл бұрын
With how BBI gear works, you can play basically whatever the hell you want and still end up being more than sufficient. "Playing things you don't want to," aka min-maxing, is really only necessary if you're absolutely focused on getting the maximum out of a specific build, particularly on Hard mode. The stat increase issue hasn't been a problem ever since Dark Arisen came out, and that was over 10 years ago now.
@Barooth100 Жыл бұрын
@@_Jay_Maker_ this. min-maxing isnt necessary, the difference with a full endgame build is near irrelevant
@eldonhill4840 Жыл бұрын
I feel like all the vocations are tailored pretty well to work with the stats they get on leveling up. No one actually *needs* their level 200 Magick Archer to have those extra few hundred points in Magick from leveling Sorcerer. By the time you hit that level you're already doing way too much damage to have a problem with anything in the game. And most of that damage comes from your lategame BBI gear, the actual extra damage you get from your stats is not that much at all in comparison. Balanced builds can do anything effectively, it's completely not worth min-maxing. And the main reason is that it's not fun to force yourself to play Sorcerer or Assassin for 200 levels for the sake of some mythical "finished" build you'll only get to use after you've already beaten every piece of content in the game with a build you didn't actually want to play. I've always hated seeing people convince new players that it's important to plan their level 200 builds from the beginning.
@Infinite_Cringe Жыл бұрын
I'm pretty indifferent to it. I like every vocation, so I don't care what I have to play as. But it's not a good system, so they should change it.
@TheValiantBob Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it is something I try to ignore, but the brain goblins are strong and constantly gnaw at the back of my mind lol. I'd love it if someone made a mod that just automatically changed your stats as if you went 11-200 as that vocation whenever you swapped, but alas I haven't found anything like that on Nexus. Thankfully once you get to BBI it really doesn't matter anymore, so I usually just try to get high HP and stamina.
@fang42239 ай бұрын
While it's not my main vocation, I remember picking up Warrior for the first time all those years ago. I remember thinking "huh, this isn't all about big damage, it's about creating opportunity" with how so many things would multi-hit and how stagger/knockdown was excessively common. So the first lines of the video made me smirk.

Intervention and Resistance is a great combo. Gives protection to a lot of debilitations. You can then stack up warish items and barely care about carrying those ailment healing items that can clog your weight capacity, which means an easier time carrying 2 or 3 weapons with different damage types or element, if you fancy it. Snow harpies would, for instance, sneeze at me all day, without giving me even a cold, and this kind of mobility helper is valuable to keep a pack of foe staggered while your sorcerers prepare some armaggeddon
