It literally takes 2 mins to wash out a paint tray after the job, cleaning the roller and brushes is the bigger job.....a tray will literally last me years. The fact that it has to go into landfill and relies on carbon offsetting is all smoke and mirrors, manufactured in China....

You may be perfect but many people aren't. People forget or can't be bothered to clean after they finish. At least with this its still usable. Also washing paint into the drainage system is bad for the environment. Each to their there own but definitely a market for it.

Why would you throw away a perfectly clean paint tray, just use it again. But if it has paint in it you shouldn't just toss it in the bin so how is that good for the environment - throwing a paint tray that will decompose with latex paint stuck to it that won't decompose?

Thing is plastic one's can be washed and used again and again. So if someone is buying a new one everytime they paint, there is a footprint from manufacturer and also delivery each time, so which is more environmentally friendly?

I really love how much respect Peter and Deborah have for eachother. It literally shows all the time. Although it was kinda unfair how Peter encouraged the entrepreneurs to pick one dragon over another even though he himself declared himself out. Anyway they got the perfect dragon. It doesn't matter what tray you have , reusing any tray without cleaning it out, paint will eventually mix and run especially if your using different colours.

correct, dried paint when soaked with more paint, on top of a roller/brush attacking the seal with always cause a poisoning of colour.

I still have a metal one from eons ago. It pays to clean the tray and to do it in a bucket outside, drain the water after the paint settles to the bottom then throw the paint after it dries into the garbage can. People just throw everything in the garbage now, so few people even care about the future of the planet. I don't know why I give a dam because I'm on my way out but I think of the little kids and their futures on this mess of a planet we've dirtied.
