My first play through I was going to romance Karlach, but had trouble finding her quickly, while shadow heart made a move. I figured I’d break up with shadow heart once I found Karlach. Decided to see her romance all the way through, and was so glad I did. After you leave the temple of Shar in act 2, she seems so crushed and hopeless. To be there for her and then help her find her parents after was so amazing. I remember how giddy I got in act 3 when I asked her for a kiss and she kisses my shoulder, behind my head, circles around me and kisses my other shoulder. Was so adorable. 2nd play through was the Karlach Romance.

that's really funny cus basically the opposite happened to me. Was romancing Karlach then about half way through act 2 my save files vanished (I was stupid & could've fixed this easily but panicked) Started a new save but I'm guessing I took way to long this time getting to Karlach & didnt have enough approval by the groove party. I was rushing abit wanted to get back to where I was, should've waited to finish the groove before the rest of act 1... But yea got turned down deadpanned at my screen for awhile then decided I'd romance Shart she was going to be my second playthroughs choice anyway. I've been blown away with how well her romance develops by itself plus throughout the main storyline. All the characters are so well written

More than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other, while most best friends remain friends until death. To most people, their best friend is more important to them than their romantic partner is. I think that having a best friend is a lot better than having a romantic partner. Most people don't consider their romantic partner to be their friend. Romantic relationships are pointless, while friendship is not. Having a best friend is important than having a romantic partner is. Romance ruins everything. There's a reason why most people won't date their best friend. Most of the time, being with your best friend ends wrong because you break up and it is never the same again.

I really enjoyed my first play through of this game it was so entertaining going and getting every follower in chapter 1 finding scratch in the wild helping the tieflings escape from the grove having a party enjoying the moment of triumph and victory slaughtering every party member as they drink and enjoy their life, going down into the under dark exploring it all and then the shadow cursed lands so dark and twisted but really beautiful in its own way going back to camp and its all empty except for the useless white dog that i take care of so it doesnt take up anymore space

Yes, RDR and GTA5 has great voice acting, and for british accent in a fantasy setting setting I love Witcher 3 voice acting but Baldur's Gate 3 really knock it out of the park with their talented VAs. Also Neil Newbon is great but Jennifer English rarely gets the credit she deserves playing as Shadowheart, she's amazing

Same brother. I figured Tav had no real story. I couldn’t make Karlach become a mindflayer, and Orpheus seemed to have this grand cosmic destiny of freeing an enslaved people. And I’m just some dude. So I took the hit and gave everyone their happiest ever after, and my Squidified Tav languishes forever in prison. I was too weak to seppuku like Orpheus does, but not selfish enough to make Shadowheart stay with me now that I’m a monster. So I’m either a soulless mindflayer that still has some lingering dead Tav feelings that will fade away in time, or a new kind of Mindflayer that somehow kept its soul. The great hero of Baldurs Gate that lost more than anyone else, just like Balduran I guess.

in my experience as a stray bard romancing shadowheart and helsin I did both have low approval just keeping enough to not end, and the epilogue was the same, I suppose that after the 6 months I was with shadowheart my bard became a decent human and helsin forgot that I attacked him to control approval

When you first talk to her you can say you’re surprised she’s happy to see you and you thought she’d want to stay away, but she says something along the lines of: ‘what can I say? We went through something extraordinary together, even if we didn’t always see eye to eye. Better to leave old squabbles in the past.’ I’ve managed to trigger this line by breaking up with her at the Elfsong, but it’s supposed to just trigger if you had low approval

I played the game twice now. Once as her lover (good relationship) and on second one as evil durge and her as a dark justiciar (non-lover with high appreciation). But I did not get so much variety in greetings in any of my playthroughs. What am I doing wrong... And by the way how to you get her negative attitude. She is polygamous so it does not upset her if you romance others.

Her greetings are varied by her approval ratings, for instance, an approval ratings has several status: excellent, good, neutral, bad, and in danger. If you romance her and have her at excellent approval all the time, she only has 3 to 4 greetings to you, I hope my explanation is clear to you 👍🏻
