@@KollbjornYT Killing Nightsong activates something called "parent points," which is mechanically the same as "Nightsong points," which decide whether she'll spare or kill the Nightsong, if left to make her own choice. Just look up "Shadowheart parent points" if you want the specifics on how & where to trigger them. You lose out on the Act III romance scene that way, but I find it a superior narrative. YMMV.

Yes, that act 1 sass from her is just because she didn't trust you enough and she still has a strong faith with Shar, overtime we'll see her true nature that she is a genuine good person at heart, always turn her into a selunite no matter what because she deserves happiness ❤ Also, about that nightsong & parent in epilogue, I don't think it changed much just like what charlesboots said, so I'm sorry that I can't make a video about it, maybe it's still worth it back then when the Baldur's Gate 3 hype is still in the air, but nowadays not as much people still interested BG3 anymore 😢 as they're moving on to the next big thing, I still plan on making a few more Shadowheart videos in the coming days though 👍🏻

Unpopular opinion: I find her romance on the Sharran path to be better written in terms of consistency, pacing, and the chemistry of a forbidden relationship it brings. Sharran Shart makes it clear that what you share will never be love, and you're not an exclusive couple, so you know where you stand and keep your expectations low. The problem is that, aside from a handful of interactions, her behavior often stays the same, regardless of which path she follows, which hurts the Selunite path significantly. For instance, at some point she confesses that she wants to be with the MC 'now and always' and share everything that lies ahead with him. Yet later on, under certain circumstances, she mocks you for ever thinking that she wanted something loyal or to have a swan (known for mating for life). Before the patch introducing the epilogue, you basically had to insist on staying together after the final battle, lmao. The whole thing with Halsin and the drow twins doesn't make much sense either, since the idea of casual seggs and o*gies aligns with Shar's doctrine and what she was taught at the cloister, where she was literally trained to be a honey pot and endured the darkest times of her life. So why would she re-embrace who she was before? Didn't she clearly state that she wants to stay as far away from Shar as possible? The Selunite romance made me feel like I was being gaslighted into a relationship, as if I were a tool to achieve her own goals, and once used still nice to keep but no longer necessarily needed and easily replacable.

She doesn't need any encouragement to show affection towards him, and despite all her insecurity about your fragile bond and feeling inadequate, she's more than willing to risk it all just to sleep with him, disregarding how it might affect the MC's feelings towards her and crossing the very boundaries she set up herself. I don't quite understand how that aligns with the idea that she's doing it for your sake, especially considering that you get a malus to her approval if you refuse. It’s crazy how her entire romance revolves around gaining her trust and pulling her away from the goddess of deception, yet at times, she's the one who makes you feel like you’ve been deceived. I'm delivering raw facts from the game, while you seem to be trying to make excuses for Shadowheart's actions to justify them and fit your own desires. It's pointless to seek deeper meanings in these interactions, since, as I stated before, they are exactly the same for both of these completely divergent paths.

Yet, the most notable changes between them are the color of her hair and the very last scene in the game. Damn, even her kissing animations barely differ from each other on both paths. Now let's compare how much actual work was put into diverging the spawn/AA ones. You seem like an insecure one there, trying to rationalize or simply deny the facts you're clearly not comfortable with: any romantic involvement she had in the past or has in the present with anyone besides you, and even datamining for how much of an actual impact on her approval certain interactions have to make sure it's not a 'big deal'. If she wants to climb mt. Halsin, go for it; just make it happen with a little dialogue beforehand to talk things through (just like the conversation you have to have if you want to b*ng him yourself), maintaining mutual respect and taking my consent into consideration. But she treats you in a way that she herself didn't want to be treated, given that any previous flings with other companions made her genuinely worried that 'your affections have drifted elsewhere'. Nobody wants to feel like a third wheel, whether in an open, polyamorous, let alone monogamous relationship. Inb4 blah blah, she never asks you directly to open the relationship. So what? There's more than enough evidence she's into that and will enthusiastically accept your offer if you ask for it yourself. Have you forgotten that you won’t be able to kiss her on the first date if you miss your insight check? Her whole romance feels like a marathon of insight checks, many of which you seem to be failing on purpose. She doesn't tell you directly that she loves you even once thorought entire campaign either, but I don't think you consider the thought that she doesn't, just because of that. You're delusional. As for the epilogue, I pointed out that I'm talking exclusively about what it was like before patch 6, they warmed things up a little since then. (of course they did, it was a letdown). I have no idea where you got the impression of her as a fully devoted partner. We've already have our future plans discussed and then she was something like 'So, yeah, I’m going to find a cottage for me and my parents. If you ultimately want to join us, I’ll make myself easy to find.' Sounds more like: 'You can come with us, but if not, I'm perfectly fine on my own anyway'. Yeah, I guess we must have played very different games.
