So, fun thing about the date: 18 mentions all she had from her past life was a gift card, a joint, and 1600 zeni (probably about 16 dollars irl). She gives away the gift card, smokes the joint, and probably spent that 16 bucks on the burgers for her and Krillin, meaning all her material connections to her past life are now gone, and she's ready and willing to embrace a new future and life for herself. Or something like that idk.

Arguably Master Roshi would win in a fight, but as a glass canon compared to Chi "can take the full force of a supersaiyan in bed" chi (look at the timeline of events, Goten was conceived during the buildup to the cell games after the spirit and time room training). Krillin is the single most powerful full-blooded human.

Oh my god, the Krillin and 18 date makes me so happy! 18 immediately shutting down the waiter, letting Krillin - for the first time in his adult life - feel secure, and then Krillin finally getting to be the badass he really is (compared to the average human) is so fulfilling. I SO wish we got to see season 4. TFS writes their characters so beautifully, and can pay off their set-ups better than anyone. Maybe one day, but I very highly doubt it.

Yup, Krillin is a god damn bad ass. He's a god compared to any human, he just happens to know people that are beyond that. And 18 is perfect for him, she's a bad ass as well and she chose him because he's a supportive guy and they can have a great relationship together. I love these two and that short is my very favorite and it's canon for me dammit.

The last episode has a great deal of depth. Vegeta has based his entire self-worth and meaning in life on being a fighter and becoming stronger. After the Cell Saga, with Gohan refusing to take on his father's role, he's basically the strongest person on earth, and it doesn't even matter. But he's not able to make his peace by just becoming a family man and then Majin Vegeta happens.

Gamera is a turtle kaiju with a long series of movies. He flies by pulling his head and limbs into his shell, and then rapidly spinning with jets of flame streaming from his armholes. Roshi had "baby Gamera" back in DragonBall, because he wasn't pure of heart and couldn't ride nimbus

"Jackie Chun" is a wordplay on Jackie Chan, who was heavily popular at the time Dragonball started to kick off. This was also the alias Master Roshi used to enter the World Tournament the first time Goku chose to enter as a kid, after training under him. That's why after bringing up Jackie Chun, they immediately cut away to current Roshi, who was clearly not as respectful as the TV Narrator made his fighting career out to be, haha. Roshi trained Goku and Krillin way too well, and didn't want them destroying the tournament, and thinking that they were invincible, because then they might get lazy and wouldn't continue to better themselves in martial arts. So, Roshi put on a wig and entered the World Tournament as Jackie Chun, and beat their butts, without every telling it was really him. This showed Goku that he hadn't hit the power ceiling yet, and that there was always going to be "someone else" better than him.

Nice little gem is the fact they've played a new rendition of the DB tournament arc theme. I've watched DB's like 6 years after the DBZ run, and I was amazed by how fun it was. I honestly think DB peaked (as in OG showing) between in the stretch between Piccollo Jr and the Saiyan Saga.

Animals used to be some of the citizens in original DB, before Toriyama forgot about them and Master Roshi rides baby gamerot (The dark shell thing with eyes) in original DB but hasnt used it since The golden rule is that if you don't recognise something, it's probably from original DB and didn't appear in DBZ

I personally like to think that Krillin’s first date with 18 is canon. Their relationship is honestly my favorite in all of Dragonball. And if you grew up on DBZ in the early 00’s like I did you also had a super huge crush on 18. I hope that they do more shortz solely because I want more of 18 and Krillin. Also I would’ve added that Krillin should’ve been using a cane the whole episode because he should’ve had a crushed pelvis after having sex with 18.🤣🤣

Now you understand why Episode 3 is my favorite of the bunch. It’s so wholesome, and it shows a *functional* romance in the series. Because let’s face it, Bulma and Chi-Chi are awesome mamas, but they’re both married to fools. Still, it’s also nice that TFS finally gave Yamcha a genuine win. He deserves one after all the 💩 he endured. Then, we now have a better understanding why Vegeta would later go Majin. And did you catch the MHA connection? To remind you, Adult Gohan in the Super Android 13 movie is voiced by the same actor as Izuku “Deku” Midoriya. And finally, in what might be their only appearances, we’re reminded why both Beerus and Buu are scary as f***.

11:35 - 11:48 That's Baby Gamera, he was in the DragonBall series exclusively (never in Z or beyond) as an alternative mode of transportation to the Nimbus (because Roshi is far from pure hearted enough to ride the nimbus). Roshi only ever summons Gamera once in the series, and it spins like something shocking and makes roshi incredibly dizzy. Also one thing that always astounded me was that it is implied that Roshi was ONCE pure enough to ride the nimbus. This is evident not only by the fact that when we first meet master roshi he attempts and fails to ride the nimbus and turtle expresses surprise in the fact that he is unable to do so, as well as Korin giving it to roshi in the first place (I doubt korin would've done that if it was revealed that Roshi couldn't ride it at the time). Yet when goku time travels and meets roshi in his youth we clearly see he's just as dirty and perverted as he is in his old age. So yeah, it's all very contradictory to me.

That restaurant shows up in the main Abridged series. It is mentioned in one episode and appears on screen in another episode. If you want to know the translation, "Serré" means "Tight". This is the expensive restaurant Maron wanted to go to with Krillin and so she ordered them reservations. But Krillin confessed to his insurance fraud before they ever went so he's had the reservation for a while like he mentioned. Later when Cell is rampaging around one of the towns and they're doing the montage of empty streets while the radio DJs receive a call-in from Cell there is one shot of a counter inside a building with the restaurant name on it.

You did see King Furry, the blue dog. In the kakarot game they said it was a mutation fad, people took a special serum to become animal people then stopped, that’s why there’s barely any in Z Comet Camori! The same one that destroyed the planet in the Broly movie! 20:45 Ghost Nappa cameo! 11:43 - Roshi calls this thing "Baby Gamera", which as far as I know, isn't a thing. So I'm guessing it's just a reference to Gamera, which is a Kaiju movie monster that was made to compete with Godzilla in theaters in Japan. It's basically a building sized bipedal turtle that can fly by withdrawing it's legs or all it's limbs into It's shell and fire energy out of the same holes in it's shell it withdraws it's limbs into. So given the way it flew in and out of the scene, I think that's a safe bet, unless there's some obscure and almost identical creature in Dragon Ball I've overlooked that Roshi is just calling Baby Gamera as a joke.

Well, remember that Yamcha now owns a bar and grill that he lets Vegeta eat at for free, AND owns the Hetap company. Vegeta might not be fighting Yamcha not because he's weak, but because Yamcha can EASILY screw Vegeta out of all that. Heck, he called Nappa as a last resort, and Nappa barely trains nowadays cause he's a producer, not a fighter.

My issue with how Gohan is written is that he keeps falling behind, getting the “fight to protect what you care about” lesson, getting a cheap power up (ultimate Gohan is probably my favorite Gohan but you gotta admit he got it in a cheap way), and then repeating the cycle. Maybe he’ll keep up after Super Hero, but we’ll see about that.

Omg you NEED to react to Bleach S Abridged by Project Mouthwash!!! Aside from being an amazing parody on the level of TFS’s stuff, it’s actually how I got back into Bleach a year ago. It jogged a lot of my memories of the early seasons and piqued my interest enough to continue the manga/anime. And it’s just so well done! If you do go for it, you’ll notice there are 2 “episode 1’s”: the original (“It’s a Private Club”) and the redone reupload (“Black Sun Rises”). I recommend watching both. They’re short and both are entertaining as hell.

Yamcha is a rich baseball player, Krillin is a successful police officer and father, even goku is a successful farmer, he would have to be in order to buy thousands of pounds of meat every day

One of my favorite things about the date Shortz is that one of the characters in the background looks like Jackie Chun, Roshi’s disguise for the World Tournaments in OG DB. He went stealth mode to keep an eye on his boy.

And that's why I said don't pity Yamcha ,he comes out ahead more than anyone in the show. Gohan is pretty badass in the tournament of power, lot of good moments and team ups with Piccolo and even Frieza. And speaking of bleach, you should watch Bleach S by project mouthwash, it's a great bleach abridged series with quite a few episodes

@@BJGvideos Kid Goten & Trunks accompany teen Gohan & Videl to some mountain backwater. Broly, frozen in ice, lands on earth. Perfect for a Superman/Doomsday parody. Eventually, I don't remember why, lil Trunks decides to drain the dragon over this waterfall- only for us to see that its dribbling off the top of Broly's head. Literally _the_ moment I remembered that happened, I could practically _hear_ Broly going _"Princess Trunks~"_ *_Ugh._*

EP3: Cute Krillin and 18 date with a small reminder that Krillin is one of the strongest earthlings on the planet (it's just that he's overshadowed by all the overpowered aliens) EP4: Nice Yamcha episode that gives him a W for once EP5: Personally my favorite episode. It not only serves as a great reason for why Vegeta was so desperate to fight Goku in the Buu Saga but there were small character moments that really lifted it up the ranks for me. Piccolo talking in his head with Nail and Kami about breaking Popo's vase was my favorite part. Vegeta has a Yamcha button that goes right next to his Goku button and even Nappa makes a small cameo. Also, in the last scene of Piccolo in bed, if you look to the very left corner in the dark you can see Popo's unblinking eyes staring right into your soul.

I think it would've been cool if Gohan tried his hand at making androids to protect the planet, after being inspired by 16. He's smart and hates fighting, but understands the need for a protector like him or his father. He also knows that he wouldn't be around forever too, and I don't think he'd ever want a kid, especially his own, to go through what he did.
