Thanks for sharing, can see you know your job very well. I rebuilt a few Toploaders, but today start to work on a Ford C6. Bought a Pionneer kit 753010. I found in the drums 2 times 3 friction disks, in the kit I have 5 disks same colours, and 5 more yellow friction ones. I saw in your video you have a few disks the same, and you had 2 red ones. What are those different colours disks ?

Well, I found out, I probably forgot to open my eyes while opening the 2 drums. First I have 3 friction disks space, then, I saw where they go, first drum, where the band goes, are the heavy friction disks, then the second drum the low friction ones (yellow). Anyway, your videos are really great and helpfull, many thanks.

I looked everywhere for information on cutting the pressure plate for additional clutches. How did it work out?

It worked just fine. I think I mentioned that I have done it before in other transmission builds. If you look in my list of videos you will see it was a successful build . I also have more recent videos of driving the car.Thanks for watching.

They cut an extra groove in mine, but it's too high and I have too much clearance. I'm over 70 thousands with this new one, but it's not 75 and that is with a thicker snap ring (two thicker than the original one(C)), That's with new clutches, steels, and the pressure plate has no grooves or show signs of ware. Also, they didn't cut the groove large enough to get the even larger one (D). Do they make a thicker pressure plate than the original? If I add a second steel (back to back) it looks better, but then I only have 15 thousands. Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't.

I recently ordered a master rebuild kit from Summit Racing with Alto clutches. It has extra forward clutches 4 of them were .073 thick and the others were .060. I am sure if you search for it, you can separately order the clutched you need.
