I have had my Spyder RS for two days and when you learn how to do the roof it is not a major problem.Nice to have the open top experience. Overall, I think the Spyder RS is phenomenal and better than the GT4RS I also have. It feels more responsive and the suspension is much more pliable.

This cay boxster is over $200,000 before adm. it’s a complete waste of money period. I’ve had 3 GT3s. It has a 0-60 time in 3.6 seconds. That’s Lexus territory. Total stolen money from customers

Do the roof a couple of times and it is a two minute job to take off. Putting the bimini top on takes around a minute. I'm happy with that if it means that I can listen to a GT motor behind my ear.

The biggest problem is that even the dealers have no experience with the roof and do it wrong. You really need to read the instructions and follow the steps. It's like driving a stick. If you know, you know. If you don't, you look helpless. All the problems come from people trying to short-cut the procedure. I'm a senior and do it by myself. I LOVE my car! 🥳

The porsche Spyder is a throwback to open top sports cars. Think Ferrari 166 MM Barchetta Aston Martin DB3 and Porsche 550. The Porsche spyder is designed to be an open top sports car. The roof is a bonus. The MX5 is a great little car based on roadsters from the 60's, MG's Triumph and etypes etc. The spyders roof is also simple to use, once you've done it a few times. Not nearly as difficult as its made out to be here.

That's a great car, Brooks. I owned a 2018 Cayman S and loved it! It felt like it was on rails. I can't imagine what that RS Spyder is like. What is the fascination with loud and high-pitched sounds? I understand why someone would find a particular engine note appealing, for example, some prefer a Lambo's sound vs. a McLaren's sound (V8s are my personal favorite). But the high-revving, high pitched, raucous, ear-drum shattering cacophony? I just don't get it. And for some strange reason, people like that popping, anti-lag sound like you get on the Nissan GTR. What exactly is so appealing about it?

I have a automatic convertible BMW and i love the Porsche spyder rs but after that video I don’t think i can do it for one the price lol and two a rainy day on the highway would be a very embarrassing moment and before you say who drive in the rain with the top down the answer is everyone who has convertible it will be one day were you will say it yourself its fine it wont rain yet i can make it home before it start to rain and you wont make it. Like I Said mine is automatic and it takes 30 - 40sec and i can put the top up when I’m driving. That demonstrates at the dealership would be my worst nightmare from driving in the rain or a restaurant and having to put the top up. I was driving the other day and a guy had the spyder rs in grey and he rev the car while i was driving too show off. If i had a clue that how they put the roof on or off i would drop the top at every red light we came too so we can be even lol.

How much weight do you actually save by removing an emblem and replacing it with a sticker ? I highly doubt it makes even as much difference as what you had to eat for lunch . I hope people aren't paying more to get a sticker than an emblem .

Buy 981 manual (£25k), fit a GT3 flywheel and slave cylinder and full race exhaust (£5k) then get Hartech to bore it out to 4.1 (£10k)ish. Boom £40k all in. Stick on a set of Cup4s and your laughing. Save £100k. Spend in on track days and a tour of Europe staying at mega hotels.
