Asia’s actually made me emotional, like I felt that performance and I do not say that very often at all. A real horror for sure. I also noticed they cut away pretty fast when she started to cut her arm. Visceral and impactful, which describes Asia to a fault.

I have to say: Grey’s Cenobite in this challenge… possibly one of the best things to ever be featured in Dragula history. Not since Evah Destruction’s sea monster on Titans have I been that stunned by a creature on that stage. Like, that was Victoria Black-levels of amazing outfits for this show, yowza!

I have a theory about Auntie’s horror outfit. I wonder if it was their backup for the horror icons challenge. I’ve heard some DA’s do that, bringing alternate outfits for different challenges. Maybe Auntie thought their Audrey II fit the prompt better and showed who they were as a DA more, yet were still proud of that Mars Attacks thing and wanted to find a way to showcase it.

I absolutely adored greys. So fucking cool, reminded me of VEBs cenobite but this had extra layers and a real sense of agony and torture to it. That being said, even though grey is my favourite and absolutely could've won the season- Asia Consent. Wow. I havent been so moved by a performance since Hoso's horror look with the cancer diary on season 4. The personal story and battle with gender dysphoria she conveyed with this look was beyond anything ive seen. Sure, the demon prop couldve been more extravagant but that really didnt matter to me. The way she looked back at the demon and her makeup too showed such an anguish and pain that was palpable. When she started writing at the school desk (im guessing to portray writing a suicide note or a deep confession) it all made sense suddenly- then taking the quill/pen and holding it to her arm to imply self harm- she genuinely left me speechless and horrified at how sad and painful the story she told was. I think this look is why she was crowned, it mightve not been the most technically amazing but her stage performance was so powerful and raw. Breathtaking.

Grey for me, it gave me what I needed. I respect Asia's but for me, it didn't go that hard into horror so the message is gonna be hit or miss. And Auntie, it was cool but wasn't as scary as Grey's or as impactful as Asia's.

Totally agree, her facial expressions with the makeup was so effective to show the self hatred and pain that she went through. For her to tell such a personal and sincere story like this on stage felt like the biggest privilege as a viewer. Very real and emotionally impactful as a horror look, especially if you have had similar experiences with mental health/gender dysphoria
