Let’s be honest, where we were when conte decided he wanted to be sacked to big Ange is like loosing a fiver and finding out you got 6 on the lottery… to say he’s a breath of fresh air and exactly what the club needed (even if I’m not sure he’s what Levy deserves) … I miss my dad as I get my love of spurs and his dad before him and he would bloody love big Ange and the football, I was at the Chelsea game and it’s the best I’ve seen the crowd in years , the critics that said it was naive, forget football, supposed to be about the glory , it’s the most of ever enjoyed the loss and the crowd and anges this no shit taken but no bullshit talked also.. he’s a proper Aussie straight talking and I for one fucking love him
@thelinedrive5 ай бұрын
The worst thing about Conte was his inflexibility. Tactically I think he could have done something with Spurs, but he refused to use the players at his disposal and played the guys he trusted into the ground. If he had no interest in you, or he didn’t trust you, he would not play you even if his primary starter tore an ACL. He would keep playing his starter. Ange’s mentality is much more refreshing in which it doesn’t matter if he thinks you are ideal or not, if you show you can play he’s going to give you opportunities to earn more time and be a regular squad member.

Hugo Lloris is/was not only a great, phenomenal goalkeeper, but also a fantastic leader and great gentleman. His "bust up" with Sonny (make a run fro the Team!) is just legendary. I will not remember his loss of form at the end, but I will remember and cherish all his great saves and all he did for this great great Club and team. The man is a Legend (to me). Big thanx to Hugo.

The beauty of lo celso playing well is at start of season we prob all have said if everyone fit our midfield is Bissouma bentacour and Maddison - now with sarr playing so well lo celso deki in that postion all of a sudden we’re finally looking like a top top team where no one guaranteed a spot and squad rotation won’t mean a weaker team

The chronic hamstring issues Spurs have experienced this season follow a pattern that materialized at Celtic when Ange first took over, Spurs need to get sports scientists in to look at the training and make some adjustments.

Lo Celso was always a class player. He just needed a coach like Ange rather than having to defend deep in his own half under the park the bus dinosaurs of Conte and Jose.... I really hope we keep him. Messi is on record singing his praises and we are now seeing what he was talking about.

It’s an astonishing achievement being where we are just one point outside the top four with everything that’s happened this season, it just shows what a remarkable job Ange is doing and excites everyone for what’s to come. Absolutely agree Gio was superb on Sunday, the vision and execution of the pass to Sonny for the second goal was outstanding, if De Bruyne had performed that the media would be raving about it for days, hardly a mention for Gio only how good Bournemouth were.

Happy New Year Ali, I’m just happy to see a team of players who actually seem to like each other , the system of play, and the manager. I always got the feeling there were cliques of players under Conte and Mourinho, kind of the “haves” and the “have nots” the “haves” got to play when things were good and the “have nots” were brought on late when things were going badly, and then took the brunt of the abuse for not being able to change things, and even if they did like Steven B. They were back at “have not “the next game. Ange seems to make decisions based on merit and has the respect of everyone, I hope his tenure at the club is long.
@jakemaddocks4355 ай бұрын
Agree with so much of this Ali. 1. This is why im not buying ten haags injury excuses. I love how we stick to a style regardless of the players. 2. Im so glad we dont have this 1st team 2nd team dynamic we've had for years. Players like gio, ben, richie all improving with game time and showing their previous ability. Players dont just become bad overnight. They suffer in bad environments with bad coaching. I would love to see Gio not get replaced straight away when madders comes back, he needs to earn his place back just like anyone else. It would show real respect to the players who have performed so well during this time.

I’m just so delighted to see Lo Celso finally delivering. I thought when we signed him that he was potentially a special player. There were glimpses of that but injuries, seven different managers and perhaps a bit of an attitude problem have constantly conspired against him. I think he’s a special player and, like so many others, is responding to a seriously special coach. Hopefully Lo Celso will be the next one in line for a contract extension and, on that subject, how about getting Ange tied down to a better and longer deal? Just in case a certain Mr Ratcliffe comes calling 😡

Thanks Alisdair.. always on point. 3 things stood out to me over the Xmas period. Angie’s comment: You can’t build resilience without adversity . This period will stand us in amazing stead for the future. The Gio interview and the Bentancur surprise were perfectly planned to give the stadium a lift…. Brilliant! Our South American contingent are really flying. Offer Gio a modest extension and see if he’ll commit. Ange couldn’t have scripted the cuffufle more perfectly. Every Spurs player and fan now knows he’ll also fight for the team. Brilliant, a masterpiece in team management over the past few weeks.

I haven't watched yet Ali, just started, so I don't know if you mention anything about it. I just wanted to say about Lo Celso, if you watch him after the goals are scored he is elated! Frantic running around and genuinely so happy the team has scored. Comparatively Hojlberg has been very muted recently. I just think this is extremely indicative of a player (Lo Celso) who is actually finally happy to be a spurs player! I think it's a true joy to see! COYS and big up Gio

What I like about Lo Chelso is when he drives at the opposition at speed yet remains in full control of his decision making. He causes absolute havoc with the opposition. He is unselfish and always seeks the pass where his teammate is better placed to shoot. It's remarkable where we are in the league and lets push on in this second half because under Ange, anything seems possible. Good luck and thanks to Lloris.

Interesting how so many pundits and "fans" keep saying we need to be more pragmatic in our approach but most of the time we pull back and go defensive, thats when we concede. Ange put Dier and Hojbjerg on to see out the game and that's when Bournemouth scored. How annoyed would Vicario be that they keep wrecking his clean sheets. But good things are coming and once we get half our team back from injury, suspension and internationals we can push back to the top. COYS
