I GOT AN IDEA WITH ASHFUR So when the fire in Thunderclan breaks out it's the three who smell the smoke from being near the tunnels. Since they are aware that they are the prophecy cats they believe this is their chance to show they are heros. In the flames Ashfur has Leafpool trapped instead of the three and does his declaration of how Squirrelflight must lose something she loves. So while as Holly leaps to fight Ashfur, Lion lifts of the burning branch on his back so Leafpool can get past. And Jayfeather is led by starclan to where he can guide the others out of the flames. Ashfur dies in the fire but the rest make it. Leafpool is overjoyed to see her kits all in one place. Squirrel urges Leaf to tell them the truth(because I believe Leaf would tell his sister what happened) and so she does. I'm not sure where to keep going from there but that's what I think would be a cool change to the fire scene

But what are the chances the three go to help ThunderClan when they've most likely been raised to not help other clans with their problems? And why would they walk blindly into a burning camp, not even sure that there would be cats in there? Besides, there would not be any way for them to know that there is a fire in ThunderClan. They are in the tunnels; smoke goes up, not down. The three are underground in a cave system. There is physically no way they would know about that unless they all started to leave the tunnels through ThunderClan's side, which is very unlikely. Also, why would the three risk their own lives for two random ThunderClan warriors? It doesn't make sense.

Mine is almost the same, but.. The three also get trapped in the fire, Lionblaze is the only cat that has passed the flames, and is trying to save his siblings. He doesn't understand that his siblings cannot go through the flames unlike this buff immortal prophecy cat. Leafpool notices a black cat and thinks is a Starclan guide, but NOPE! Is Crowfeather! Crowfeather runs through the fire because he found a path. Saves the others and kills Assfur by stabbing him belly with a branch on fire.

This is SO one of my favorite AUs now. Lots of AUs involving Leaf and crow running away sort of just end “happily ever after” but also tend to ignore the fact the three (well two of them) are prophecy cats and ignore the greater impact to the warriors world. But this, this is INTERESTING.

A quick idea I’d like to add! With Leafpool and Crowfeather not being stopped by midnight, maybe she went to help defend the clans earlier. Maybe she was the one to save the queens so Thunderclan will still have Cinderpelt as a medicine cat during the long absence of Leafpool! Or maybe even midnight decided to stay after Cinderpelt died as a temporary medicine cat, knowing Leafpool would eventually return.

I actually have a similar au to this, except crow and leaf run into some skyclan cats, and when leafpool starts longing to go back and realizing how unhappy she is, they compromise and stay in Skyclan; since they both can't bare to part with their kits. Leafpool is still unhappy, but shes glad that she can be a part of a clan. Also since Hollyleaf and jayfeather were named after their parents, I like to think that they were named after thunderclan cats that leafpool misses instead, like possibly hollyflight and jaystorm.

I like this AU a lot! plenty of nice paths that make the characters feel more worth while I also love how each prophecy cat is in different clans, because all of them being in Thunderclan made it feel like the others clans were obsolete, and I feel like it kinda took away the whole idea of 4 equal clans when 3 power-house cats are in thunderclan, (I mean, I know thunderclan is the main focus clan for the books, but with the different protagonist per chapter thing in the books, I feel they couldve made it a lot more balanced for each clan. (also this couldve meant they met in the tunnels to discuss things like you said for the AU) anyways sorry for rambling, and cool video!

I wonder what Squirrelflight would be like in this AU, since she’d probably be a little suspicious about her sister’s frantic nature over this supposed stranger. Maybe the sister bond that they had in TNP would key her in the fact that in some way shape or form Leafpool knows this cat and questions her about it. Would Leafpool confide in her sister or try to keep everyone even Squirrel from knowing? And if so, would Squirrel think of Leaf any different from before? Ooooooo, this means no Hellfire Ashfur moment huh? No Holly going near crazy, no Ashfur being dead, so maybe he’d live to know Dovekit and Ivykit and MAYBE try the whole “whatcha your young family members DIE” thing with them. Just a thought.

In this AU tbh I can't see Crowfeather getting together with Nightcloud, My take on it would be Nightcloud being in a halfclan relationship or one with a rougue, Crow finds out and takes pity on her, he pretends to be the father and confides in Nightcloud about his relationship with Leafpool, they keep eachothers secrets, Nightcloud is a better mom in my AU and Crow is a better dad having experience with his real kits, Breezepelt finds out that he's half clan which leaves him confused and sets out to find his real father, but finds out his real dad is dead returning empty handed Hawkfrost recruits him for the dark forest, Breeze is fine with it at first but when he finds out the big plan he becomes like Ivypool and spies for the three

Random idea for another thing to add: What if Stormfur and Brook never went back to the clans at all? So then maybe after Leafpool leaves and Crowfeather and the kits are ok their own, Crowfeather decides to go find Stormfur and the tribe. This could be for any number of reasons. Maybe he’s worried he won’t be able to take care of the kits well enough without any help, maybe missing Leafpool makes him miss Feathertail a little more too, or maybe he’s just desperate to be with someone familiar. I’ve always thought that Crowfeather and Stormfur should’ve had more of a relationship. I don’t even care if they like each other or not. I just want them to talk. I think they’d probably have a happy reunion since they hadn’t seen each other in a long time. I think it’d be cool to see them finally talking to each other again. Plus, then there could be some more characters in the tribe. Jay, Lion, and Holly could even be raised learning a mixture of fighting and hunting techniques, some from the clans and some from the tribe.

I think since Holly was named by Squirrelflight, you could rename her to Raven . . . as that would fit with both her and Crowfeather. They might even drop the kit part. Lion and Jay are probably staying the same though. My libraries didn't have past Midnight or Leafpool's Wish, so I only know from summaries, but I think Holly is the only one Squirrelflight names. Although Lion sounds a bit weird on it's own.

I have a personal headcanon that after learning Hollyleaf, Jayfeather, and Lionblaze are his kits, Crowfeather successfully hides that he absolutely adores them. He's distraught at losing Hollyleaf, and maybe that's why he isn't punished. He already lost his daughter, and his current mate and son don't trust or respect him. When he sees his sons at gatherings or on border patrols, he is internally beaming. Look at his sons! They're so strong! So handsome! So proud! They're just like him. He tries to ignore that they're also intelligent, determined, and persistent like Leafpool. Yes, he loves Leafpool dearly, but he hates that fact that even if he admits to himself he loves her, he can never have her. When Hollyleaf returns, Crowfeather is ecstatic. He is so happy to know she's alive and well. And oh my stars, she's beautiful! She became so much more strong yet sleek in the tunnels - like a true WindClan cat. When he loses her again in the Last Hope, he is in complete denial. He's not losing her again! He refuses! When she breathes her last breath, he's thinking, 'She's just asleep. She'll wake up, and I will see her at the next gathering.' When she is listed as one of the dead at the next gathering, he has to excuse himself while he sobs hysterically in the forest bordering the island. When Lionblaze becomes a father, Crowfather is watching his grandchildren's progress intently, making sure they become the best warriors, just like their father before them. When they have kits too, Crowfeather has never been happier to feel old.

So here's an idea for a fist book with this au the goal is to make a standalone story that can work as a jumping off point while also being decent The prologue pretty much just says "hey there's a prophecy, be ready for the the new protagonist" to all the leaders And so then chapter 1 starts of with battle training jay is having a lot of trouble though (cause you know) at this he mentions how they're not even supposed to be training until they're 6 moons old which is how it's revealed that they're only 3 moons old so crow responds with " that's for clan cats, we're rouges, we can't afford to wait" and basically nothing happens aside from that for the next few chapters So then he decides to find the clans and skipping over a 2 day long traveling segment he finds his way to the lake he heads for the island he had heard about from his dad and he crosses the log after almost dying so he then hides in the bushes for day by himself since this night was the gathering everyone is there he decides to hide and hope no one finds him until he can get more info on them when the gathering starts he pays attention but then he hears someone say "um I think someone's kit found it way to the island" he slips even further back into the bushes but they already know he's there so everyone is trying to get him out as gently as possible but it's getting nowhere so russetfur comes up tired of his crap and pulls him out of the bush kicking and screaming and so now everyone is trying to find out who's kid this is but no one recognized him so they start asking questions and they find out he wasn't part of the clans before the leaders realizing what's going on start talking to each other privately but all of the want to have him cause prophecy stuff but none of them are willing to give it up so firestar suggests "why not let him choose" and so they do just that but jay knowing basically nothing about any of this says "I don't know, I barely even knew you existed before today" (and yes this was a lie on his part) so they let him make an informed choice by letting him stay in each of the clans for half a moon and let him make his choice them And so each clan get two chapters starting with thunder and going counter clockwise until he reaches wind A brief explanation of each is: everyone in thunder was overbearing and despite the fact he knew they were just trying to look out for him he really didn't like it Shadow was friendly but he could tell a lot of the warriors and apprentices were worried because if he didn't choose them then he could to the clan he did join their secrets River was great overall aside from the fact that he could not stand how leopardstar would never take responsibility for her screw ups Wind was very friendly but to the point where everything felt fake and he couldn't shake that feeling until he left And so he was brought back to the next gathering and chose (insert drum roll sound effect) shadowclan That is where I'm leaving off for now but I pick this back up once I get up in the morning

All I can see is breezepelt and lionblaze are at a gathering and lionblaze notices the smallest little nick in his ear and screeches "WHO. HURT. MY. BABY. BROTHER?!" and just breezepelt is like "god kill me now... Also for how ashfur plays out, I like to think that he finds crowfeather and the kits on the far moor (don't ask because idk) and asks who's the mom and crowfeather not really knowing its ashfur or even a clan cat he says a Thunderclan tabby she cat who's a med cat so ashfur knows and during a fire thats affecting shadowclan instead of thunderclan hollyleaf and lionblaze sneak off to help jayfeather but ashfur traps them but tawnypelt has to kill ashfur herself to save them, finding out that lionblaze and hollyleaf are jayfeather's siblings so she's even more sympathetic to all three of them

Ashfur would threaten Leafpool instead of the three. Leafpool would get mildly ingured in the fire and while Squirrelflight is helping her, Ashfur blocks the way and him and Squirrelflight argue a bit before he goes and says something like, "Leafpool and Crowfeather left and then three cats who look like them came to the clans awhile after Leafpool came back? What a coincidence!" Leafpool almost get pushed into the flames by Ashfur and he tells her to speak up or he'll kill her. So Leafpool explains, and Squirrelflight yells at him that his quarrel is with her, not Leafpool. He tries to attack Leafpool and says that killing Leafpool will hurt Squirrelflight the most so she'll feel his pain. Instead of Hollyleaf killing him, Squirrelflight does. Hollyleaf runs away back to her father because of all the drama in the clans, she is tracked down by Squirrelflight and her brothers so she runs into the tunnel to escape them.

I recently made my own AU for these these cats that I’d love to share somewhere, so here will do? The AU begins after the badger attack, when Leafpool realizes she’s pregnant and all alone. The moment where Leafpool goes to the Windclan border and speaks to Crowfeather again. Instead of rejecting his love, she admits that she still loves him and is going to have his kits. Delighted, Crowfeather tries to convince Leafpool to leave with him once more. Worried about leaving her clan without a medicine cat, Leafpool says she’ll think about it. This leads to Feathertail appearing in her dreams, encouraging her to leave with Crowfeather and saying she, Feathertail, will ensure a new medicine cat is chosen. Leafpool, encouraged by Feathertail’s promise, decides to leave after all. However, at a gathering Leafpool learns Crowfeather was killed by a dog/fox and his body was lost to it. Devastated Leafpool begins the journey home, only to hear her name being called from the shadows. It is none other than Crowfeather, who has faked his death to have a clean getaway. He encourages Leafpool to do the same, so the clans wouldn’t know of their betrayal. Leafpool hesitates at first, then gets the support of Squrrielflight to leave after telling her sister the truth, of Crowfeather being alive, Feathertail’s messages to leave, and her unborn kits. Squrrielflight ends up helping Leafpool leave the clans on a fake mission from Starclan. They join up with Crowfeather and travel for sometime. Squrrielflight remains until after the kits are born, she gets to name Holly. Then she returns to Thunderclan lying that Leafpool had died on the journey. This act causes Squrrielflight‘s and Leafpool’s sisterly connection to be restored. Allowing Leafpool to still feel part of the clans, and for Squrrielflight to know that her sister and her family are still safe. Meanwhile: Feathertail keeps her promise and leads a Tribe cat to Thunderclan, making her the new medicine cat. For additional fun this cat is a reincarnated Half Moon. Who was led to Thunderclan in hopes of learning more about the mysterious Jay’s Wing in her dreams. Moons later, when Holly, Lion, and Jay are apprentice age. Jay begins to have dreams about the Tribe cats and the clans. One dream shows him a stick next to a lake, which he is sure will help him to understand the meaning of his dreams more. While Holly begins to desire structure to the lawless life of a rogue, and Lion is being targeted by Dark Forest cats. Specifically Tigerstar, who has told Lion that he is destined to save the thunder from being choked by fire. (A false prophecy to encourage Lion to kill Firestar) When Jay tells his siblings of his dreams and his desire to find the clans their parents told them about. The three agree to go for their own reasons and begin to journey their without their parents knowing. Upon their arrival to Thunderclan: Squrrielflight recognizes them immediately and knowing her sister’s feelings of dread over her missing kits, gets Firestar to accept the three into his clan. Holly is thrilled by the structure. Lion is focused on his dark forest training, and Jay is obsessed with his stick and the sweet young medicine cat. Lionblaze: finds the tunnels with Heatherpaw, during this time he begins to realize how the Dark Forest was corrupting him and he becomes terrified of killing Heatherpaw. He finds comfort in his newly found friendship with Cinderpaw. Which slowly helps him (along with the prophecy from Jay) realize that Firestar isn’t the enemy here, but the Dark Forest cats are. Jayfeather: is mostly the same, only now he and Halfmoon are gonna fall in love and fight the law that forbid medicine cats to have kits, the very thing that caused his mother to leave the clans in the first place. Hollyleaf: still kills Ashfur, why? Well, Ashfur realizes that Squrrielflight is oddly close to the three and learns from eavesdropping that the three are Leafpool and Crowfeather’s kits. During the fire scene he confirms his suspicion and says he will ruin Squrrielflight’s life by telling the truth, that she lied about her own sister’s death. Hollyleaf, terrified of being kicked out of the clans and being forced to be a rogue again, kills Ashfur. Then runs away, after telling the truth of her, and her brother’s, birth at a gathering, into the tunnels that collapse on her after realizing that she was nothing but a rouge after all. Later she does come back and helps the clans in the final battle, proving herself worthy of her warrior name. Breezepelt: is still Breezepelt. However: when Crowfeather decides to leave with Leafpool, he has already mated with Nightpelt in attempts to take a Windclan mate. When Crowfeather is revealed to have been alive and had abandoned Breezepelt for his half-clan kin, Breezepelt is angry and joins the Dark Forest with full intention of killing the kin that left him fatherless. During all of this Leafpool and Crowfeather move closer to the clans and remain nearby as “Leaf” and “Crow” - they are close enough for their kits to visit them, but far enough away to avoid discovery by the clans. Of course, until Ashfur finds them. After they are revealed to be alive, the two assist in the final battle, but realize how happy they’ve become as rogues and decide to leave again. Remaining on the outskirts of the clan territories like Barely and Ravenpaw. Bonus idea: Hollyleaf was one of the three, her ability was to walk through shadows unseen. Which would’ve allowed her to spy on the Dark Forest. She, perhaps, discovers these powers in the tunnels. But she dies before they can be realized. This causes the need for Dovewing and Ivypool, mostly: Ivypool becoming the spy in Hollyleaf’s place. Of course, this AU needs some fine tuning, but yeah, there it is.

And this woulld cut out her sudden change around that time (knowing Starclan is lying to Squirrelflight and not telling her for example). With this AU, Leaf doesnt need a foster mom who can take the kits and possibly keep Holly from having a breakdown and becoming a shit character.

Me and a few friends had another AU about holly, lion, jay and breeze. That breezepelt would be leadpool’s sun and form the three with dovewing and ivypool. Meanwhile lionblaze, hollyleaf and jayfeather came from nightcloud and hollyleaf takes up breezepelt’s place in the darkforest (or maybe lionblaze)

I think a way Ashfur could play out in this is like this: the fire scene still happens, but it's with Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw. Brambleclaw is weakened by smoke inhalation, and Ashfur, seeing his opportunity, pins him down in front of Squirrelflight and threatens to kill him if she doesn't get back together with him. In the end, Squirrelflight gets so pissed, that she ends up killing Ashfur herself, by most likely throwing him into the flames.

I’m neutral towards nate’s AUs but this one just makes me realise how badly some books were written in warrior cats and how little warrior cats actually does anything besides clan life and fails to tackle sensitive subjects. Roguefeather is definitely my favourite!

I always loved the thought of Squirrelflight standing up to Ashfur and possibly pushing him into the fire in the fire scene. So maybe instead of it being the three kits, it's the other three cats she loves dearly, Firestar, Brambleclaw, and of course Leafpool. Instead of having a big reveal of the kits not really being her's, she instead realizes that Ashfur's too far gone and the only way to stop the torment is to put him down. So, she shoves him into the fire, killing him and possibly leaving scars on Squirrelflight. All the other clans find out what happened during the next gathering and no one really feels bad about his death since he was trying to kill the leader, deputy, and medicine cat.

I also think it would be cool if they have the vaguest memory of what leafpool looks like, since kits open their eyes pretty early.. so what if they remember she's a brown cat? So they're going around harassing all of the brown cats in the clans they're in, meanwhile leafpool knows exactly what they all look like and is just dying inside.

Love the au as always nate! Honestly, I think the fire scene would still work out w/ or w/o the three. Perhaps he could trap Firestar, Sandstorm, and Leafpool in the fire? Squirrelflight could then try and fight him off while her family escapes the fire. If he dies, he'd be sent straight to the dark forest, but if he lives, he'd be exiled immediately.

I think that for this au ashfur would actually fall in love with leaf pool. When she leaves he’s devastated and tries to get over her, especially since she’s a med cat but when she comes back he feels like she did it for him and is even more obsessed. Ashfur also really dislikes fire star and squirrelflight because they try to dissuade him from going after leafpool, maybe fire even forbids him from seeing her. And maybe one night he encounters the three in the tunnels reuniting with crow feather who ashfur thought that leafpool left for him. He hears crow spill the beans about leafpool and he’s extremely upset. He decides that because he feels like leafpool took everything from him he’ll do the same to her. He tries to kill fire star and drives squirrelflight and brambleclaw apart. He then is the one to break the news to the gathering. Everyone is angry . Perhaps holly jay and lion are forced out of their clans where fire star takes in jay and lion but holly flees with crow feather who is also ostracized back to being a rouge. Ashfur ashamed and angry at what he’s done kills himself. Eventually crow comes back to take care of nightcloud and breezepwlt but holly stays a rouge and jay and lion are in thunderclan but resentful of leafpool for letting it get so out of hand. This is just my idea :)
