i love how the more hatred zira feels, the darker the background gets as it hit the darkest shade, it flipped back to white, realizing how she really was living her life based off of anger and hate just as she realized, she fell into the river had this been the original cut (zira's suicide) it wouldve made it chilling even more still, very good job

God I wish they hadn't cut that like, I understand why they did, it was SO dark, but also SO powerful like it's just a really powerful scene, her choosing to die rather than allow her enemy to help her- choosing death over releasing her hate. It's a powerful sentiment. I really wanted to show her life becoming darker and more claustrophobic as she allowed her hatred and her bitterness to consume her, until it was too dark to see clearly

Floods can be extremly strong at times which is why alot of people die from them since like a said its very strong and it can be difficult for someone to get to the surface for air when the water is far to powerful Im sure she tried to get back up to the surface but the current might have been too strong for her to handle..

I like how at the near end the background ( or atmosphere) gets darker symbolizing the turning point where Zira was finally losing it. She lost two sons, she was loyal to someone who never loved her in return, her youngest who was supposed to be her pride and joy betrayed her. The animatic gives off the amount of rage and hatred Zira truly has for the world. It is only until the end that she finally lets go of all that anger in a split second, but a split second too late. She is the only character I will ever like from any of the Lion King movies or spin offs.

One thing I think Simba did seriously wrong was judge the cubs on the sins of their parents. He banished Nuka with Zira even though he was just a cub and acted with lots of hostility towards Kovu when he was a cub and when he saved Kiara because he was Scar’s son. That was Simba’s biggest flaw.

While I agree it was something horrible for him to do, it stays true to his character. See, lions in real life off the cubs of the prior male, so the lionesses have no other choice but to raise their own, new cubs. This movie is educational in a sense, since Disney used to make things as close to reality as possible (while bending it to the plot's coherence and convenience), so banishing the cubs instead of... Ahem, was being way too kind, playing it off through his "heroic role". Which, sadly, just caused more pain instead, still at least it gives a deeper meaning to his character, especially since he himself was a cub surviving in the wild, if not for Timon and Pumba, all by himself. A flawed, almost hypocrite (despite of his altruistim) hero will always be interesting to see on screen.

I mean... In the live action they at least fixed hyenas, since in real life females are bigger and stronger than males, they're the leaders, not males. In original they just... were there. And it kinda made more sense that they turned against Scar, since in original they seemsed like old friends and it was just kinda weird that they killed him because he said one bad sentence about them...

Am I the only one who kinda head cannons that Zira changed her name (if you look at her wiki it says her name means hate) I think originally she had a name that was much more positive or loving in meaning but after being struck with grief and having her mate (who she adored and was loyal to above everything) killed she changed her name to Zira, completely abandoning her roots to lead a rebellion of lionesses to avenge scar, her mate, the one they saw as a leader, as THE true king.

I forgot how Zira ended up hanging on to the cliff edge but Kiara rushed to her and offered her help. Zira didn't take it and let go of the cliff edge and fell into the river *D E D*

Im low-key wondering if there could be an au where Scar saw the outcome of Kovus future and chose him over his own son to just create peace, being dead can make you think that if you could change one thing what would it be? I really think it would be interesting for Scar to just genuinely be nice at least once in the afterlife, or if Scar picked Kovu at birth maybe a past king or even his mothers spirit told him that Kovu would be the best option...

Idea: Zira only became evil because Scar did. She could’ve been loving and hell maybe even (if he were canon) help raise Kopa since she was Mufasas friend Simba likely at least respected her. Zira was raised the same way Askari, Sarabi, and Mufasa were. I believe she could’ve been similar to Sarabi personality wise if she hadn’t fallen in love with Scar due to him being nice back then.
