This type of material and design is garbage and will not last. Do yourself a favor and use regular PVC pipe with holes and massive amounts of rocks in a 4inch ditch. You are welcome. Don’t get robbed by these contractors.

If you put Gravel on top of bad soil its not going to drain you need good sand for drainage

Some people put in a small distribution box so when the lines “settle” which is what happens over time you can ease adjust the gray water distribution more evenly to each individual line.

The gravel gets saturated and becomes a slush with time preventing absorption. Takes a while but read up on it. Save some $$ on that material.

Is the soil above it good for planting? More so than another spot in the yard without the drain field

Typically no bushes no trees if you want to put grass on top of it or something like grass that does not have invasive roots it’s fine, but you wouldn’t want to plant a tree or a bush on top of your leech field

I would help you I’m redoing another one at one of my rentals luckily I had leftover material from last one I redid it’s a lot of work by yourself but it’s possible to get it done you can do it yourself it’s very simple this stuff ain’t complex I have 14 rentals I do everything my self learned from my father almost ever trade so now he passed I took over our family business

Never use a short 90 degree fitting in septic. Use 2 45's so it's a sweep essentially
