Of all the videos and sites I checked out, this was the method that actually got my rented snake outta the drain. It wasn't moving an inch and I was freaking out a bit. Thank you man!

Always wear leather work gloves. Plastic gloves can get caught in the drain cable and can potentially snap your hand or wrist.

​@@africandreamsinhaze365 Thanks for the comment. With this drain snake model, since it has autofeed and a guard, I didn't need to touch the snake while it was in motion, which is when it can be most dangerous. I agree that with manually-fed models, leather gloves should always be worn for safety.
