Wet wipe packs often say flushable even though they're not, so it's understandable that some people flush them. But tampons are another story altogether, they are sold and used to clog plumbing so it's a no-brainer that they would clog plumbing.

I've been flushing tampons for three decades and never clogged the sewer line. Baby wipes will block anything though. Other things my friend, who is a plumber, complains about: adult wipes, maxipads, condoms, huge wads of hair, giant wads of toilet paper with dog shit in the middle (don't ask), collapsed piping, tree roots....I can keep going.
