You Guys are The Greatest, & Thank You All for your videos :-) I just love Family vids...
Your gracious offering to answer any questions definitely just got you this guys sub ✋ Do these types of walls have a protective membrane on the inside where the dirt rests against it like a basement wall has? Should you try to ensure the holes aren't at an upward angle or anything in zones that have freezing? Never heard of these holes before, apparently neither did the person whom built that wall though so I don't feel too bad 😅

@@garryb.1334 The fella who we did this work for had a superior French drain system installed, which to my seeing was top of the line. Did this wall need these drainage holes? Not really, but I offered to add them at no cost as I had the equipment, and my son Jason does them often. So, it worked out well.

Kirk, I have a question that does not have to do with this video. I have two rooms that were made with plaster. In one of the rooms I removed the plaster and I'm putting up drywall. Right where the new drywall meets the old plaster there's a metal flexible L- beam for an archway... How do you suggest that I merge the two substances?

Just out curiosity, drilling holes on a retaining wall as shown on this video, assumes that behind the wall there’s some type of gravel (if built properly) now, if it’s just dirty behind the wall, then should one be concerned that the hole would plug? Thanks. I have a retaining wall and I don’t see any drainage holes and would like to do this. My wall is in great shape but have no idea what’s behind it.

I would put some holes in anyways. It couldn’t hurt. If you think about it during heavy rains a lot of water is back there. Even the smallest relief holes make a huge difference.

@@EddyFlexy I’m somewhat lucky that I’m in Southern California and we don’t get too much rain. However, I’ll definitely look into drilling some holes to relieve the pressure when we do get rain.
