I have the exact same compressor as you tom. I love it and yes they are not loud at all. I can actually hold a conversation with someone when it's running. You reminded me that I need to drain mine also. Take care and catch you on your next video sir.

Great vid, I have a similar compressor i installed a brass 90 at the bottom drain and extended to front of the compressor with a 3/4” FIP brass gas ball valve very easy to drain regularly. Great topic condensation will corrode the interior of the compressor 👍

I drain my compressors every time I use them. When I was in high school, I worked at a welding shop and they had me drain the tank daily before I left for the day.

Thanks for the tip Tom. I didn't even know you needed to do that? I will check it out for sure. It's 7 degrees outside right now. May wait until it warms up a bit.

I have a cast air 60 gal 3 cyl single stage 22 cubic foot prr minute with automatic drain. Every time it shuts off it has a spurt of air and water out bottom of tank.

Hey Tom !! I can't remember exactly where you are, Georgia, maybe Florida? High humidity area, nonetheless. I had same problems with my ancient Craftsman 33 gallon oilless compressor here in HOT HUMID Alabama, so I tried something I had not seen anybody do. I did it just as an experiment a few years ago, but it worked out so well, I left it in place. My approach was to remove the humidity from the air BEFORE it got to the tank. I cut the line coming out of the compressor head, and added about 5 feet of copper tubing and connected it to an AC condenser out of a big SUV I got from a Pick Your Part junk yard, then coming out of the condenser it goes to a water trap, then through another 5 feet of copper line back down to the tank. That condenser cools the air, plus removes the water remarkably well! I have a second water trap on the output of the tank, and I have YET to get a drop of water out of that. Also, in the around 6 years since I did that, I have not gotten 2 tablespoons of water out of my tank drain total in all that time! I did a couple or so videos on that on my little channel if you may be interested. My compressor stays in one spot, so if you move yours around, that likely wouldn't work well for you.
