Hey Big Matt I'm in Denver. Too bad I missed you. I have an X-2000R that runs hot. Really hot. It took out the transformer thermal fuse. I got another transformer. The reel motors get over 90 degrees f. I took the motors apart and cleaned them. They still get hot if played for over 4 hours. An X-10R motors don't get hot. I don't have a tentelometer. I know I need one. Hard to come by. Do these normally run hot like that? Should these not be played hours on end without a break? I hope you enjoyed your stay in Colorado. Hopefully you got to see Red Rocks or the Garden of the Gods while you were here. A concert at Red Rocks at night is something else.

@@5thcomm I don't really have a picture of one of the reels. It was an adult contemporary format that DC offered in the 70's and 80's to radio stations. Was probably their most popular format. The current reels were the new songs of the time that were announced by the DC format voice. The library reels were unnanounced. I have a digital library of most of those reels and play them back on a radio station software program, and am always looking for more of the reels
