Probably the lowest margin for error of any farm I've ever done. But it's a good one :)

Actually having now done this farm around 30 times, the drop rates for everything go down dramatically. Is there a way of mitigating this?

Drops are always random no matter where you farm. There is also an "anti-farming" code built into the game so people cant exploit a certain loot without having to work for it. This is true no matter where you go in game. I can only suggest that you farm during Favor to get a higher chance of getting gold drops.

Crap forgot to include that in the vid. All well. You take them to Chef Lonbahn in Kamadan to exchange them for Drake Kabobs which are a Pcon.
