The only thing that confirms this film’s existence is the vampire book the encyclopedia of the undead as it shows Dracula movies released chronologically and states this is the first Dracula movie and that no known copies survived, yeah just like what Cinemassacre said “the Bela Lugosi version everyone knows, Nosferatu mostly horror fans know, Dracula’s death few horror fans know, and the russian version nobody knows because it may have never existed”.

Fake. Film is lost. Nice aging of this clip, but the actors' movements are too fast, and their expressions are not exaggerated enough. And the young guy completely gave it away. Nice try though.

The only reason to know that this is fake is by one simple thing Jonathan Harker looks like he's 15. Nice work though I did think it was legit all the way up until the close-ups.

Yeah I saw this at first and was like there's no way. Total fake. There's been a rumor about this film for some time now but it was merely a misattribution of the lost Hungarian Dracula film. There is simply NO way the Russians could have pulled such a film out of the Civil War period they were in. They had time for only agitki (special short agitational films), documentaries for the war effort, and pre-Revolutionary films to generate revenue. The ONLY film to come out of that period that was really unique was Polikushka. Dracula would have offered no clear vision for the Soviet cause. It's simply impossible it would have even been conceived, let alone happened.

Well the music can't be a reason, why this is fake. Many old, silent films have remade/new soundtracks. For example: "Metropolis"(The Giorgio Moroder Version) or "The cabinet of dr. Caligari".
