I used to be skeptical about it but after reading about the different stages of sleep and the trance state, how they activate the parasympathetic system which is where the healing of the body happens at a deeper level, I started to realize that Qigong, Taichi or just relaxing the body and mind must really work. I noticed also that some Qigongs made me so relaxed that I reached a state of stillness but other Qigongs invigorated me.

@Nei Gong Adept Qigong is for whatever the practitioner wants in order to optimize health and wellbeing. If that's calming the mind and body, to seek yin states and relaxion- all power to them! Don't tell people just to take pills if conscious breathing is providing what they seek.

Yes.. I have suffered bad appetite for years and I was always low in energy. Also back then I had sciatic and suffered few years and didn't go away with my daily yoga practice. Then I decided to try qigong and I realized that my sciatic has gone and my appetite came back. I had blockages in my meridians for few years. When I practice yi jin jing, I feel so happy even on Monday and light. I make sure I practice everyday and I longer need to go to a doctor since.

Thank you for this. It is absolutely spot on, and describes my own experiences with practicing Qigong for 20 years. I’m not always as disciplined about it as I should be; but as a rule, every time I practice it, I ALWAYS ask myself: Why don’t I make time for it every single day? It simply works!

Qigong isn't a pill or a "treatment" or a two-week course, or something you achieve. It is something one does as a part of life. Thus, years will go by, qigong has become part of what you do and you feel the benefits. This is the way.
@formyeve

Well you're not going to convince many people with that kind of reasoning. Why should someone start practicing qi gong if they don't know why they should? This youtuber has right approach in my opinion. If you are going to have any persuasive power whatsoever or even make someone consider trying something out, you're going to need to speak in level-headed way that people can relate to and understand, and relates to the acquisition of one's needs. While making qi gong a way of life is the ultimate goal, you might need to offer qigong as a pill or fix for whatever their need is for them to even cosider stepping their foot in the door, so to speak.

@@formyeve Abraham Maslow by chance meets Lao Tsu at a tea house on the road to a conference. He explains his newly discovered Hierarchy of Needs that he will present at a symposium of learned scientists and psychologists. Lao Tsu listens attentively, while sipping his tea. Finally he asks, "Why must you have needs?" "It's part of the human condition!" exclaims Maslow. Passing by, Jiddu Krishnamurti overhears this, pauses and says, "The human condition is filled with desires, that lead to pleasure, but ultimately to pain, from whence the cycle begins again." Lao Tsu notices two yellow spotted butterflies encircling each other above a purple peony, only to disappear behind the tea house. "Come, let us discuss these things as we travel this road together."

Chi gong is a lifestyle and to get the maximal benefits must be done each day. It focuses on breathe posture intention and grounding our energy. It assists in balancing our energies so if your hypo it slows you down and if sluggish gives you energy you are constantly learning and listening to your body and responding with what it needs. If you have an issue in your body find the exercises and energetic points to direct healing sit-ups and push ups and yoga stretches are all part of a comprehensive qui gong session as in the Taoist tradition discard nothing it’s part of the way. I have your book, Master the Day on Audible. It was great. I am a Qigong practitioner and life long martial artist. Yes, Qigong is actually contained in just about all traditional martial arts. But we get so busy working out, that we many times miss the most simple thing like inner body energy flow. It is actually quite profound and can assist in healing and longevity. It is actually difficult to do on account of the time, and very slower movements involved opposed to gym training or even martial art training. Once you understand the principals of Yin/Yang, you will clearly know that we all tend to neglect the softer side of training, but in Asian culture they are both equally important and must be trained for balance.

Ive been doing qigong on average 15-20min daily for close to 2 years. Good stuff. Less anxiety, more sustained energy (aka less fatigue), benefits of feeling the qi or random sensations I guess. Also one you don’t hear on these videos is the increase of placebo power, that’s what I feel for me anyways. Anyways, highly recommended even just 15min a day especially if you have health things to overcome.

Thanks! Although anyone who goes to the gym, does a full workout and comes out with cold hands definitely isn't doing a good workout. For sure. For me other benefits are more connected with mindfulness and concentration, which is often neglected in many fitness training. Of course, even weight training can be done mindfully and this is definitely worth trying.

I had and intense pain in my joints after, now left elbow and ulnar nerve pain. My guess was accumulation of negative Qi. I better get back into it to clear it out.

Czlowiek1 czlowiek1 I can really recommend the yt channel “qigong for vitality”. Wanted to start doing qigong for a long time and searched yt but found mostly only videos that just showed the movements. That dude is really teaching you the basics and explaining stuff, at least in the videos aimed to beginners. Now I have learned to incorporate intention and breathing so now I would be ready for those other videos just showing you movements. But only movements isn’t qigong, you need the whole deal with intention and breathing.

I am not the guy doing the video, but my personal experience doing qigong and related things for years is that qigong as such is not a replacement for strength training, cardio training or flexibility training. Depending on exactly what you're doing there could be some overlap but basically they're different things. In the past I once stopped doing other types of exercise and just did qigong type stuff and other areas suffered. If you find a type of qigong or related practice that you like then that is great but I wouldn't neglect general practices and general theories about fitness because they are also very useful and helpful.

I turned on 1 lamp, with a 40 watt bulb, which was at the other end of the room. After 15 minutes of doing qigong, the thermostat went up to 70 degrees. A 40 watt bulb CANNOT heat up a whole room by 2 degrees in 15 minutes. Where did the heat come from?😊

With all due respect, I’ve been practicing Zhang Zhuang (Jam Jong) which I learned about in my study of Tai Chi, Hsing-I, BaGua , I-Chuan and it’s Japanese equivalent known as TaiKi Ken for at least 20 years and each practice session is a little different. It’s a life practice that begins on the day you begin, ends on the day you’re put in your coffin or on your funeral pyre. I applaud and appreciate your research and willingness to go in-depth. Keep going, keep researching the field of Chi Gung (Qigong). As you do so, if you stick with the practice, you will see that putting out a video entitled :”I tried Qigong everyday for two weeks, Here’s what happened” is utterly ridiculous bordering on the absurd. Get back to us in 10 years. Good Luck, may your search be a successful one.🙏✌️👍

Qigong is actually the foundation for tai chi so if you are just getting into tai chi check out quigong for working on the basics of the flow of movements

I believe qi gong is a great thing. You did say many times what it is supposed to do. You assume a lot. The fact that your hands are warm seems like a good thing but to take that to assuming it means longer life is a stretch. As for the breathing, Qi gong is not a revelation in that respect. Check out a man named Wim Hof. He can swim under the ice in the arctic fir 100 meters wearing just an ordinary bathing suit. He climbed a good part of Mount Everest to where oxygen is needed but he did not use any oxygen and wore only shorts and boots. He has those kinds of Guinness records. He attributes it to breathing and ice baths. Yes, Qi gong is wonderful but it takes time and dedication to truly benefit a lot. Again, what it is supposed to do, doesn't mean it does anything. And you can't assume things. Every persons body is different and you must be careful what you do especially if you start extreme things. Qi gong is very trendy these days and it seems that trendy determines motivation and people automatically think something should be done when it's trendy. Bizarre reasoning. Qi gong was great thousands of years ago but westerners don't jump on board until everyone is doing it. I hope I got my point across. It's not so straight forward. Thanks for the video.

What do,you mean by doing Qi gong. It's much much more than doing certain exercises. You must be doing it properly. It's not easy to know if you are doing it properly. You can do it for many years for nothing if one aspect is incorrect. Relaxation and breath is vital. I mean total internal relaxation.

I don't know what qi gong you're practicing, but it's not that strict. The qi will flow if you're relaxed and you're breathing properly.

PiromancerFreak true. Let the mindh follow the movement, it will heal. No need to be strict, as long as you know what the proper movement

@@raysubrata1337 you are contradicting yourself. No need to be strict as long as you do it properly. Doing it properly means strict. The most important thing is for the chi to be unblocked so it can flow. If your posture is bad or if you are not relaxed, very and deeply relaxed, then chi will not flow properly. My point is not to be a perfectionist and show that I know things. The problem is that a lot of westerners learn sone basic, simple qi gong but are not masters. Then they teach others before being advanced enough. The people they teach think they are qi gong masters because they do those exercises for a year or more. The problem is that they often have been doing it incorrectly. Yes, it is healthy and relaxing, but any slow controlled movements done in a quiet setting is relaxing. That doesn't mean you are getting the benefits of proper qi gong. Do you know what broken telephone is? It's a child's game where one person whispers something to another person and that person to a third and so on. After a few people the whispered story is totally different.

@@perrypelican9476 actually this is the strength of 'westerners', they try to extract the useful concepts / practices and discard the arbitrary bullshit about divinities and non verifiable things. i already manage to make the chi flow with free form movements, no need to follow any qigong movements... also to direct it with my mind and gestures along the spine. now i am at the stage i want to charge my 'third eye' with it. not saying that i am good. i am just curious and i experiment...

Please do not try to do any Qigong meditation by self-learning, there are a lot things that we can self-learn but not including meditation and chigong. Since there is the possbility of being addictied to the complexing and amazing sensation during meditation, and gradually becoming exhausted. We learn to control ourself & the qi by qigong, not seeking such illusion of pleasures. Do it under the supervision of your chigong sifu.
