@HB-ey2dk5 жыл бұрын
I think that was always the plan, to slowly unravel Dany and show how absolute power corrupts absolutely. She got so power hungry and went through so much loss and forgot what she started that quest for in the first place. They definitely should have stretched it out more, for sure. But I always knew it had to end badly for her.
@sarimanne62045 жыл бұрын
@@HB-ey2dk Actors should know where the characters head space is and if Emilia was trying to make her seem more human when she should been cold, something got lost somewhere. honestly whenever Dany was acting cold in the past it felt like she was putting on a front, because it happened so suddenly. I'm not saying emilia is a bad actor i think she is amazingly talent its definitely a directing thing.
@mayab36605 жыл бұрын
Daenerys has a lot more humanity in the books vs the show. Season 2 is a season where they changed almost everything compared to book Daenerys, almost nothing is the same. The showrunners made her more stern/cold compared to the books.

About Michelle's quiet participation: I see her silence for the first 18 minutes as neither scandalous nor unjust. These actors all seem natural, kind, graceful; and the moderation seems reasonable. My own preference in these amazing roundtables would be to allow for more interstitial silence -- a few beats in between showing a clip and launching into a statement, some time to elapse after an answer and before the next question. The cultivation of patience with air not being filled with wall-to-wall words. While I'm guessing this isn't a popular preference in this age of video binging and constant stimulation, I find it's where I incline. There is a beauty to silence that makes the talking parts even more exquisite. And it's not like the actor who speaks the most wins. At the same time, I love the way Niecy generously responded to what could have struck the participants as a trite opening question. The whole idea of "making it in Hollywood" could be seen as a cheesy inquiry, an awkward starting place. And NN jumped in with open-hearted sincerity that got the ball rolling and established trust.

Y’all, Michelle Williams is a mature, confident, comfortable grown woman. If she WANTED to speak more she WOULD HAVE. Tell me who the fuck is bullying THE Michelle Williams? Who is speaking over her? Who there would feel the need to??? Could she have been directly prompted more? Sure. But that’s more for us. She fine

The caption at 4:34 completely missed that Danai was obviously speaking about her character of Michonne in The Walking Dead first and foremost. That is one of the most popular comic book series of all time. She was cast as Okoye in Black Panther much later on.

All these women are amazing actors. I saw them and clicked. I’m not here for just one actor. They really didn’t disappoint or make anything awkward. The conversations flowed naturally and I loved that you can hear the joy in all of their voices.

Some people want to come home after a long, rough day at work and relax and have dinner prepared for them by their spouse. Emilia Clarke is the kind of woman you'd come home from a horrible day at work, see her, and want to make dinner for her.

Did anyone else tear up so much whenever Niecy Nash talked? I'd give her an oscar just for the things she talked about here, would love to see her in many more roles.
