Wow, that's a bummer the race had to get cancelled, the storm looked pretty scary! Safety first!

Hopefully someone can answer this. These runners seem to have no issues with their running vests. A couple reviews online say otherwise. So, is there something that these critical people may be doing wrong with their vests? The complaint is the bouncing/excess movement of the bottles. Or is this just that they're not used to it? Thanks.

There are literally hundreds of positive reviews of Salomon vests (not saying they're the best) and I can absolutely give two thumbs up for my own Salomon Adv Skin. Many vests with soft flasks, both Salomon and other brands, offer little bounce. Those couple of reviews you mention likely involve vests that are sized too large and/or not tightened down securely at the front elastic bands. Also, if you don't suck out the air at the top of your soft flasks, the liquid will slosh around and "bounce" a bit. One more thing, and probably the most obvious... when someone isn't used to the weight and bulk of a vest and it's new to them, that little bit of unavoidable bounce is going to feel like a big deal. Those sensitive people are likely writing a review in the very first days of using a new piece of gear and simply might not be adjusted to the experience.

I have a Salomon Adv Skin 12 vest, can confirm what Jay said. When going down on stairs it can bounce, when running it doesn’t really happen. For women it may be harder to get a better fit from a running vest.

@@JaySizz That was a thorough explanation. Thanks so much. I’ll give it a go!
