Lmao the ego on the guy in the second story. Legit "too good" for a casual guild and too bad for a hardcore one, blames everyone else, can't figure out why nobody wants him around when he's annoying everywhere he shows up, doesn't realize his "friends" are fucking with him 24/7, and then can't piece it all together after he lays everything out himself. Yeah bud, a single person reporting your twitch stream is gonna get it perma-banned. It's totally not the 10 people watching you fumble for the past 3 months laughing to your face. Christ almighty, some people really can't be helped. That was some good comeuppance if I've ever seen it.

second story sounds like your typical "mythic raider", the ones who have killed _A_ boss on mythic and think they are gods gift to raiding. Ive run into many a "mythic raider" back when they were simply "heroic raiders". seen many raids and guilds implode when they get invited in to 'casual friends and family' guilds. I had a guild get destroyed by a moonlighting Guild Leader who wanted to progress, convinced the guild to server transfer to a free server and merge with a guild he was moonlighting with, then watched as a small group of "heroic raiders" destroyed our small 10man raid team from within. truth be told, they werent that much better than our team but I liked our team, they didnt rage or talk shit to people on voice coms.

Mahir, the youngest in the guild was the most mature up until his outburst (which I'm sure he'd been holding back until he felt wronged) . Imagine being proactive and kind enough to teach another person to tank on your own time and then being berated by the leadership for trying to foster teamwork to further the guild toward their goal? Huge yikes on these "adults".

@@TheTaintedeclipse The person who did "got payback" was someone entirely different to the person who people ASSUME we bullied (with no evidence to suggest we did other than a private joke where we wrote a smiley face in whisper to each other?). We did not, but obviously you cant prove you DIDNT do something, other than to say i left on good terms with the officers of guild 1, (shown in screenshots), who were good friends of Hytro as mentioned in story. Hytro was the rock in the parachute, whilst Blaces was the one who caused the issue in 2nd guild, presumably over "Mahur". All the context is available on this throwaway.

Our guild had loot council and the mentality that we need to "make raid stronger". So they fed loot to the same people. Well whoops, guy took off to another guild as soon as he got 4 piece. Because any tier that dropped and he could use was given to him. Shocked Pikachu face.

All of our tanks play in the same M+ group…. 2 main tanks and myself as a back up tank and also a flex healer. We have 6-7 ppl that do m+ and we drag 3 or 4 more through just for the vault gear. It’s just like that sometimes. We have a 15-25 man raid roster and always get aotc. Some carrying is going on for sure. I just thought that was normal. One of our tanks orange parses and the other purple orange and the other 3 m+ players purple orange parse. 3 other raiders purple parse and that’s it. Everyone else green and lower. That’s just the way it is right? That’s common? We don’t normally roll on normal gear as we have m+ gear and get any heroic item we want and that was the guilds decision. There are levels and it is recognizable.

People who say "female" instead of "woman"or "girl" are really close to calling a dog a "K9" and use 24h time when people who actually use 24h time don't. There is no pit deep enough to shove the second author into. The level of lack of self-awareness makes them not only deeply unpleasant, it makes me wonder how much Humbert Humbert narration they left out when they thought THAT was something they could share and it wouldn't make them look like an absolute asshole. Bloody hell! I rarely feel this much antipathy, but that asshole takes the cake.
@Shiirow Жыл бұрын
I call women females, I call men males, I call dogs canines, and I call my cat feline. just because you get upset over something doesnt automatically make it wrong. a woman _is_ a female. a man _is_ a male, a dog _is_ a canine, a cat _is_ a feline, regardless of how you personally feel.
@RandomDrama-q7y Жыл бұрын
Don't read too much into it, "females" was only used because it rhymed. "Tales" of "Fails", "Females" and nagging "Males". title was too long so that part kinda got lost i guess. Satisfactory is nothing like subnotica. It is a game where you go in and just build a factory. You explore a bit while you are at it but it's not on the level of subnotica, building in that game is secondary to exploring and there is not much to actually build. Building is everything in Satisfactory, don't know why you would compare them.

So, im the author of the second story, and I think there might be a number of misconceptions and assumptions going on here. I have screenshots on this throwaway which i provided to Preach re: the whole situation, including the potential "missing info", but i guess there were too many or too messy to show on the stream, or perhaps they got lost somewhere. Conversation with "Blaces" about reasons for leaving guild 1, indicating that it really was over "super secret tanking secrets" and mentions of the multiple entire evening meetings. Also shows the truth about leaving on good terms, and should hopefully also vouch for the fact that we did not really do anything to Hytro, since as mentioned by Preach, Blaces and Hytro were close friends. Also shows info from 2nd guild to show entire context and the situation in depth including some post-leaving the guild, showing that they really were just awful at communicating, including the “I get what youre saying, I understand….but is you raiding tonight?" The only thing id further add is that my statements near the end probably come across as arrogant with regards to the "no patience for her" and talking about the obsession. However, her advances were quite obvious in hindsight and the situation was just weird. 3 months of complete silence before watching on a secret account occurs whilst playing something of zero interest/relevance to her. The only logical rationalisation I can come up with are either a weird obsession, or a breakdown over something an angry 16 year old said when leaving the guild. I cant help but think its a more charitable outlook to say "I guess she must have liked me for some reason?" than "she crazy".

Dude... there just has to be a fundamental difference between brit guilds and american ones. Cause man preach has some weird social takes. Like this awkward, entitled, socially formal expectation in situations that are supposed to be informal or personal. Years of military service and I don't think I have met someone who has consistently come across as this up tight. Iono, I love this dude, but as the years pass and the more he opens up, the weirder the vibes I get. Got to just be a cultural thing. xD

@ASpaceOstrich Жыл бұрын
I'm guessing its a raiding guild mindset rather than a british vs american guild one. Theres stuff that you can't afford to be casual on in that kind of environment. I even see it a bit in stuff like Discord server moderation. My partner runs a pretty large server and what I've noticed is that little things that I'd normally give someone the benefit of the doubt on that you just can't do at that scale, because 90% of the time the red flag is in fact a red flag and you can't just wait for it to explode. Something thats just casual and fun becomes a bigger issue when its screwing over 24 other people like it would in a raid.
@Zierohour1 Жыл бұрын
@@ASpaceOstrich I'm not talking about swap blasting in raid, this has been a running theme I have been commenting on for a while now. Most of us are in a serious mythic guild at this point. Everyone knows not to hold the raid up, not to waist anyone's time. That fun is fun until we burn up the raid night on giggles. I'm not talking about that, I am talking about Mike's social awkwardness. The fact that there was a story of people messing with each other is just a coincidence that provided for an easy reply. Also, while we are on obvious things. The sun came up this morning too. =)

@@Zierohour1 Same here, I have no idea what you're talking about. I'm Bolivian but I've lived in the US and the UK, I see nothing about Mike that I'd consider to be socially awkward by US or UK standards, other than the fact that he speaks in a very "gamer" way that I'd expect most of his MMORPG-playing audience understands and relates to.
