I have to agree i voted remain as face value it seemed stupid to leave the eu but since we are i spend along time yesterday researching it and its come to my view this might be the best thing for the uk long term. The eu want us to rush are exit because they want to pass new eu laws before the french elections come because the anti eu national front party is set to take it and with current polls and feeling they want to leave more than we do. So merkal is going to loose her wing man and with other nations wanting wanting the option of an exit its not looking good. You can even add on italys banks on the brink of falling apart and needing a pale out like greece so it might be the final blow for the eu economy. So ye 2017 is going to be a game changer for the eu and the uk exit will be last on there worry list.

I respect your views do not get me wrong, but its not just about the economy, most of the people that voted leave, chose this option based on statistics and "facts" that were fabricated just to get votes by malicious, fascist, xenophobes. The overall effect that Brexit will have on the UK will not be a positive one, if you do not agree I understand, but you will see this for yourself whether its in 20 hours or 20 years.
@RatchildUK8 жыл бұрын
Alex Thompson Because air quoting facts makes them not true right? -_- So basically your argument is that leavers are racist, get real yea. Nothing racist about not wanting a sexist, homophobic IDEOLOGY (nothing to do with skin colour) coming en mass to your country.
@50KV578 жыл бұрын
+RatchildUK I'm air quoting them because a number of politicians have confirmed that most stats have been fabricated. The £350 million lost to the EU was actually returned as £200 million and the country saved well over the £150 million due the privileges of our trade agreement and discounted business and business taxes the higher ups didn't have to spend as a country. That same £350 million that was promised to go to the NHS was admitted to be a lie by Nigel Farrage hours after the vote leave victory. Boris Johnson has admitted that there will not be a mass eviction of immigrants or that there will be a severe cut number of immigrants coking to this country, on top of this to also do with immigration, most of the immigrants here came from outside of the EU in the first place and contributed overall positively to the UK.

The EU didn't have a trade deal with most of the commonwealth (Canada, India, NZ, Australia, Jamaica, etc.) Most of these countries still have the Queen as head of state, and house over 2 billion people. Its not just the US. Also no trade will stop with the EU by not being governed by it. Switzerland trades with the EU, Norway, the US and on and on. Germany who runs the EU trades twice as many goods to the UK as the UK sells Germany. If you think they will take that large of a hit in their trade you nuts.

@dogfood32728 жыл бұрын
your saying people aren't voting to leave due to "emotional patriotism", they're voting for the political element. there are many people who voted because they're; racists (which they are), who think voting to get out of the eu will make the scary people of colour go away, and people in their late 50s because they don't give a shit (which statistically is correct). i've been raised with many different ethnic groups around me (i live in london), polish, caribbean, african, asian etc the list goes on. but these people voting out are sad families who sit in the countryside somewhere in wales or some part of england watching the football having never seen anyone who isnt ethnically british in their entire life ---not saying you are one of them but you probably are ;)-. my point is that the "emotional patriotism" is 100% a thing because there are people who want "britain to be british" which is stupid as shit. also apologies in advance i'm 14 and not very good in english so the structure may be a little hard to read but you should be able to comprehend this

+Blade Strikes I've never said that. In an earlier comment post, where I argued with someone that voted leave until they decided to delete the thread, I clearly stated that I understand and respect everyone's views on the matter. I don't have any issue with the ways that anyone voted, but if you voted leave, for reasons to do with the economy alone, understand that most of the points made were massive, massive lies admitted to by vote leave campaigners as early as hours after the confirmation that we were out. Moving on from this even Boris Johnson stated that there will not be a huge effect on immigration, most immigrants come from outside the EU in the first place and that there will be no mass deportation. Take it how you want but during the campaign I remember vote leave campaigners saying otherwise. If you feel like looking it up yourself you are more than welcome to, and if you're still upset there are many sites on the internet where people that share your views come together and can openly talk about how you feel.

I absolutely did not have you pegged as someone that would want to be ruled by foreign technocrats. As Boris Johnson noted, since 1992, 27 nations have exported into the common market more successfully than the UK - a country inside that market. Decisions made by the general public - that's the essence of democracy, right? Decisions made to benefit the top 1%er's by the top 1%er's shouldn't be the norm.
@tobyboi99078 жыл бұрын
As Preach said: we democratically elected a government (not the one I wanted) to make the country's most important decisions; these are people who day in and day out debate the facts and to (supposedly) make unbiased resolutions. The public receive snapshots of untruths and propaganda from biased media giants that cause people to live in panic and wrongly blame the country's problems - in this case, immigrants/refugees. Leading to massive increase in racism in, both, young and old. There are definitely many points for and against each side of the argument for the economy however, the swing for leave was entirely enhanced by the intolerant, uneducated, brainwashed and, quite frankly, slightly racist people that I share this country with. We didn't have a choice to live in austerity so why did we get a choice in this? I think the public vote should be seen more like a jury in a court case where the government still have the final say. Something this important surely needs an overwhelming vote to one side. I'm more saddened by the amount of intolerance towards other humans than the economic impact that we're about to endure.

If I lived in the UK I would have voted leave. I know I am in a bad position to judge the economics, but the EU is expanding its power to include more and more areas and it simply isn't sufficiently democratic to justify that. It has plans for an EU army and an EU treasury. If you listen to the leaders of the EU, they want a single unified European state, and this state would be terribly undemocratic. The only people in the EU that can propose new legislation is the commission who are not directly elected. That makes the EU next to impossible to reform to a more democratic form. It might hurt the economy to leave but if that's the price to preserve your democracy I think it is worth it.
@woldenwolk8 жыл бұрын
You know why the commission hold so much power? Because it's an institution the national governments have influence on. They don't want to give more power to the EU parliament because they are afraid to be overruled. The only way for the EU to become more democratic is to transfer power from the national governments to the democratically elected European parliament, but as you know, no one is willing to do that.
@dogfood32728 жыл бұрын

Dogfood I'm assuming you are serious. So we should give up democracy because it is easier? If there was a vote in my country I would vote leave, even if it meant having to get a visa every time I had to go to another European country (applying for a work or vacation visa isn't really that big of a deal anyway). Democracy is one of the few things I will no go on compromise with.

Hey Preach, when's the next Complete Preview for classes and/or specs, so I can stop checking your video list every 4 hours, haha... Also do you still feel like Soul Reaper for Unholy is better the way it is on Beta/PTR, or do you like the execute style? Because I want the execute style of it back in some form.

first time i wish twitch chat wasn't there. It tilted me seeing even on twitch there are so many misguided and uniformed people. The sort of people who put a dent in our future. I do hope it turns out for best in end but it will for sure be bad for the short/medium term.

preach, did you hear about Canada voting to leave NA? the Canuckxit is pretty scary, no?

To have studied economics seem to be a trend with KZbinrs and streamers.

I voted against globalisation. Not short term economic fears, or immigration. You're assertion that it shouldn't have been left to the general population is nonsense. It was too big to leave to entrenched politicians, with vested interest in staying in.
@Ross975128 жыл бұрын
but Globalism is the future. its basically fighting against something that in the end is a good thing and will happen anyway
@taffy44868 жыл бұрын
It's not inevitable, it's not a good thing. It's a certain path to fascism, which is something young people aren't enough aware of. I'll fight against it as much as i'm able until my last breath.

I'm 17 and I have a better understanding than most of the repercussions of leaving the EU
@Paultootall19718 жыл бұрын
I am 44, fought for my country, like 4 of my generations before me, sacrificed, studied history and am well educated. I Voted OUT for these reasons after observing and studying what the EU actually is.... This is the first step in a process, that is all.
@RNS_Aurelius8 жыл бұрын
Can you please explain your reasoning Paul I'd like to get a better understanding.
@Paultootall19718 жыл бұрын
Have you studied, have you sacrificed, have you seen the lies you have given your life to after you have studied... try researching then come back and ask

Paultootall1971 That is a bullshit cop out non answer can't you give me an economic benefit of leaving the EU?

your middle aged, i'm 14 and you've had a good run - you vote out because you've done your education, had your jobs etc, what about me though? i'm fucked because of your dumb fucking opinion

Man, joining a guild sounds like a terrible idea
@andresvaldevit36928 жыл бұрын
That's exactly the same thing I thought, how the hell can you put in the hands of the people such an important decision? I don't even know if people were asked in the first place for the UK to join EU after WW2. Nevertheless, UK it's always been a strong independent country that will eventually make it on it's own, I personally admire the abrupt decision, your country just dodged a shitload of debts from the rest of EU since their all taking each other down with some-other's countries debts.

why would you fucking leave
@Seeric858 жыл бұрын
Because the EU is a giant beaurocratic mess run by out-of-touch oligarchs chasing a globalist pipedream. Be fucking happy you are on your island and won`t have to deal with the massive shitshow that the continent is facing.

Have u ever lost a thought about the economic power of an united Europe? Shure each Country could brew his own soup and then be swallowed one by one from China, Murica, India etc. Or stand together as one and be a force at global markets. Sry, ur Britain is not "Great" anymore. The Scotts already turned their back on u, may Wales will follow. Hard times for u, my regrets...
@Seeric858 жыл бұрын
NoxMortem I´m not even British, you donkey. It`s not "my" Britain. Have you considered that it is not just about economics? Back in the day, when the EU was mainly about economics it was still a good project. But somewhere along the way it turned into a globalist project to create a European superstate, which is a really bad idea. If the EU doesn`t fall apart we will see countries burning and blood spilled about this.

So, other things equal, had the Russian claimed to identify as a woman, he would have been able to stay in the guild? So, people should get a benefit for being willing to make a claim that can't be proven/disproven? Yeah, that sounds like Obama/EU/big government.

@Sheldonthesnail8 жыл бұрын
Except your wife isn't a dictatorship attempting to gain power under the control of an unelected group of people whos only interest is to take the power away from the people. And it's not like your wife is trying to ratify an EU army (again controlled by unelected/immoral people) and your wife isn't attempting to create an EU bank (controlled by unelected/immoral people). So what a dumb fucking thing to say. Next time you're going to speak you should think out what the fuck you're going to say if you want to avoid looking like a complete fucktard.
