Imagine spending the entire day with your FC grinding dailies, knocking out end game raids or doing ultimate prog etc only to end the night waiting in a line outside an RP Nightclub with your FC to go RP dancing with the hundreds of different dance emotes while a DJ is mixing live on twitch for the the virtual club while you unwind. This game is truly a special experience. 😂.

Have I ever been so creeped out that I've gotten goosebumps? Absolutely. I play a female toon and I tend to slip between roleplaying and actual speak very quickly and fluidly and often without my realizing it. It often becomes very difficult for new people I meet to tell if I'm an actual girl or a guy pretending to be one (not that I think I do a convincing job of being a girl, mind you). Due to this, sometimes harassment is just part of the assumed risk I take. Most of this harassment I end up dealing with is from Lalafel, which is interesting. It has lead me to believe that the weirdest and creepiest people pick Lalafel due to wanting to "appear innocent" while being dirty old men. There's something disconcerting about "forward" comments coming from people who are playing what are effectively "children" as the "token loli" race (nearly every MMO has a Loli race people can play, and Lalafel seem to be FFXIV's version of that). Most of this harassment also tends to come from being Limsa (which I tend to avoid if I can). With that being said: I don't mind being mistaken for a girl. I rarely, if ever, correct anyone on what my gender is (mostly because I don't think my gender actually matters in an MMO... where I'm not trying to ERP or even find someone to date). I've had fun conversations with some people who thought I was "sexy" and they let me model my outfits for them and emote and just talk about random nonsense with them. Did I inevitably break their hearts when they found out I was a guy? Probably. But, I've never "lead anyone on". I turn down all dates, I shut down all "forwardness", and explain that I'm here for fun and not to "find love". Flirting even stops once it becomes plain that the other party is "no longer roleplaying for fun". There was a particular Lalafel in Limsa who decided to hit on me while I was crafting once. I was nice enough to begin with until the conversation started slipping towards what this guy thought was "suave" and "like he could get some". It genuinely creeped me out that someone thought that was acceptable. Sure, yeah, just say random dirty things to someone you don't know, have never met, and don't even know what their preferences are. THAT'S smart. It's sort of like accosting someone walking down the street by demanding they eat your favorite food every 5 seconds. Look, I mean, I WAS hungry, but now that you're trying to shove Taco Bell into my face... yeah, no longer interested in eating. You should've started with, "Hey, want to come eat with me?" Anyway, I ended up scolding the poor idiot on how and why his pickup lines weren't effective. I told him how to fix his game. I told him that the reason he was "shotgunning" like that with me was because he had no idea how to interact with other people or even how to build relationships. I even told him, "you might get laid every once in a while, but it isn't satisfying the way you're doing it". I even ended up finally telling him that I was a guy and wasn't interested in being with other guys. This, finally, shut him down. But, the dude was straight up creepy and just kept trying to push his weird fantasy on me. Subsequent interactions with people like that have simply taught me to beat them, I just have to creep them out worse. Someone stalking me? I'll stalk them harder and worse. Someone talking dirty to me? I'll throw every weird and vile and niche kink at them and demand they do those things to satisfy me. They think they can "dominate" me, I'll go out of my way to make them as whipped as possible and not allow them to have friends, interact with family, or even chat with anyone except me. I may be an evil douche for doing this, but it keeps the weirdos and creeps at bay to realize that they might be getting themselves into some really scary situations when they try that crap on random people.

FF14 guild drama, sounds like a story told be 10 women sitting around with nothing better to do. WoW stories sound like a couple guys talking about what was going on. FF14 stories just have too much bs and things that dont matter in them.
