After a short break while Mike was in Mexico, Drama Time is back! - this week's is something. Some of you might remember the story from a little while back about the guy who attempted to punish his cousin for buying gold and more recently physically made the Preach Gaming War Hammer that now graces our office. He's back... and this one is a doozie. Mike is travelling to Hamburg, Germany on monday for the Echo RWF so if you are in the area a get-together is being arranged so keep an eye out - he is streaming while he is there but not sure if drama will be doable, so if not, then things will resume in probably around 2 weeks.

Drama lately seems like a series of increasingly unstable people wanting to prove to Mike that they actually did do weird things and I can't decide if I'm more scared or excited for where this trend is going.

Anybody with an ounce of engineering prowess can tell you that the faux EMP would have done the best part of bugger all. At most it would damage a few power supplies, but it's more likely the surge protectors would have kicked in before that point. This person just sounds like they can't stand the idea of being a "normal" and "boring" person and has to come up with fantasies to keep themselves sane, which they project onto others for a bit of attention. What an exhausting load of bollocks.
@ronsorage782 жыл бұрын
I think this person that gave the hammer is a narcissistic sociopath. Takes a special kind of mental gymnastics to feel 3 people botting is a reason to commit several ACTUAL CRIMES and feel they are morally superior. At least they didn't go through with it
@peregrine53272 жыл бұрын
That was my thought as well. She exhibits genuine symptoms all throughout the story, including the way she tells it. Like, even if the story itself is wildly embellished or even altogether fake, just the way she talks about herself is telling in and of itself.

well that was psychopathic. Glad they didn't go through with it at the end but to even go that far is a very disturbing sign for anyone even remotely involved in their life. Kind of peson who would try to ruin someones life for parking in "their" spot in the unassigned spot parking lot.

I freaking hate this guy/girl that was punishing his cousin for whacking off to ERP or buying gold or whatever, and I still hate them for being a self righteous sociopath in this story. Real ending: she looked at all those computers, calculated how much it would cost if they did get caught and chickened out.

Holy hell... that story. I fully expected the hammer's metal components to have been forged from the recycled metal of that EMP machine.

In addition to a GFCI's literal job being to break the circuit in a scenario something like this, the author's claim that this wouldn't damage the cables isn't correct if we assume this device of theirs actually worked like they said it would. 2500amps would absolutely burn those cables to a crisp. They also somehow miscalculated the power output by a megawatt.

Stories like the first one are almost certainly fake and/or so heavily embellished as to be indistinguishable from fiction. Still, it is highly irresponsible for Mike and his team to be giving even tacit approval to the sentiments behind these creative writing products.
