Preach use to stack agility on his warrior while I use stacked strength on my hunter.... beats what my friend did seeing how he stacked intellect on his warrior because he wanted to be a "Smart Tank"
@Tegardener6666 жыл бұрын
Jimmy yIK I have a friend who was stacking spell power on his DK cause all his abilities were in his spellbook so must need spell power 😂😂😂
@antharson02b916 жыл бұрын
Jimmy yIK being a “smart tank” 😂 lmao mind=blown
@Kissthefisters6 жыл бұрын
Juran Boyd Back in wrath I think that might’ve been a legitimate thing? Unless I’m totally remembering incorrectly
@Tegardener6666 жыл бұрын
SmoothSully it mayve been but my friends justification was simply cause its in the spellbook, it needs spellpower. He went from there to being a very capable raider and mythic level raider, so we all start somewhere
@AnnihilatorCZ6 жыл бұрын
SmoothSully I think that was spell penetration.

Vanilla, TBC, WOLTK and parts of Cata = Hogger was a legit scourge for lvl 8-9-10-11-12 and above depending on xpac. needed 2-3 people to kill him. Forget doing it solo. But honestly. Hogger was just like any other elite you'd come across later in the world. He was just welcoming you to the elite nightmare that awaited us back then. Good times.

James Salvatore i miss dying to murloc packs level my warr in vanilla. good times.

Pre cata, it was like a rite of passage to solo Hogger before going to Westfall.
@Hugoboudet6 жыл бұрын
I did it solo when I first leveled my paladin (first legit character) in BC, but the fact is it took me about 2 hours since trash respawn was insanely fast (compared to how many you could pull at once and the time needed to regen both health and mana between each pulls) but somehow managed to kill him after that, and died before I could loot him. Oh man that was fun!
@fare-51746 жыл бұрын
A nightmare? As a mage that recently replaced autoattack with frost nova on my 1, got him on my first try in BC. And that was without blink and cone of cold, mind you. You could solo anything with a mage of high enough level back then. 5-man elite quest in Dragonblight? No problemo, here's a frostfire bolt up yours that crits higher than pyro. Good times.

The second story resonates with me haha. I had just decided to switch to a holy paladin for the first season of cataclysm and i had a feral druid partner that lost his shit on skype. His only aim was to finish his arena master title and get 2400 in 2v2, but i was nowhere near good enough to get there. I remember being at 2100mmr and the team rating was just about levelled out with our mmr. He was definately a better player than me, and i couldn't keep up with him. I had never heard a grown man actually scream from rage and drop his headset before then. He managed to take a breather and come back to his computer and apologize for his curses towards me and losing his temper though. The guy was a champ in the end, i made him team team leader and even though i started playing a resto druid with other people instead of the paladin he never kicked my paladin from that team. He did manage to get 2400 with a priest eventually too. Small servers create some great moments, i have awesome memories from this game, even the awkward ones are great. These drama time stories can be so nostalgic!

Rule of thumb. If someone offers you an officer spot just to make something up to you, or in general, offers you a spot for something else than continued effort for the guild and involved membership, or excellent skill, this person does not lead his/her guild very good...

christ, after listening to that pvp 2s m8 story, it still amazes me how people post wotlk couldn't just look up " *my spec* *current patch* PvP guide ". And then just get insantly shown the most popular and accepted results on youtube, and on different text based forums, with just a simple google search. Or you could just search " how to play arenas in wow " and get loads of good guides. How are they not interested enough to just search " *my spec* PVP *current expansion* ", see someone own the place with metal music blasted on the background, and then wonder " how did he do that, how can I do that? ". Leading up to spotting " *the same spec* pvp guide *relatively relevant patch* " in the recommended videos. And the story happened in Cataclysm, which was really during the golden age of wow pvp content creators imo. Many big names were getting popular back then, the old classics were dominating, and new names were popping up. For example: Sensus, cobrak, swifty, mercader, bajheera, sodapoppin, hansol, hotted, and reckful were all making weekly videos for wow PvP. The wow PvP youtuber scene was really getting bigger in wrath, bloomed in cata and mists, and died down in wod and legion. (feelsbadman, most of the good old guys from cata and mop have quit). It's amazing how someone interested in PvP during that time managed to miss all that.

As a hardcore alliance player for over a decade now, I can tell you, before cataclysm, Hogger was THE shit. A level 11 elite mob, level 13 at one point if I remember correctly, always about 3-5 levels above the rest of his region, surrounded by his allies which you would pull at least 3 off, trying to kite Hogger, even if clearing the area first, because after drinking and bufffood they would have a close time to respawn. Later on, he was easy to kill. But in Burning Crusade? Shit man, nobody could deal with the Menace of the Elwynn Forest. Luckily enough though, he was in the last corner... Do you remember Stitches? Gift of the Embalmer? It was kinda the same deal. Hard as hell to kill. Legendary in his zone. They don't make NPCs like that anymore these days...

Just heard this story just now. I played a Warlock in a Hunter/Warlock 2s combo in the wayback Cata and MoP, and I distinctly remember facing a priest/rogue combo that we beat, because it was the only priest/rogue combo that we ever beat. Hmmmmm....

Stacking agility on your warrior? I used to run away from NPCs that had that yellow "!" over their heads cause I thought it meant they were mad at me and I was in danger of being attacked. I'd farm trash for some time and didn't know what to do to make them less angry at me. I guess I chose right, because when it turned grey, I knew it was safe now. Then I was worried my warlock would get kicked from this dungeon, because I wasn't attacking with my staff (which just sat on my back doing nothing). So I gave up on all my powers and only used a wand, so I wouldn't get kicked since the other players would see me attacking.

The first time I played wow I was 12 years old. My english wasn't great in any way shape or form. But even I could figure out what specs were Tank/Dps/Healer. How, just how is it at all possible for so many people to not figure it out? With everything you need to know blinking in yellow... Just, how?

Ok so back in Cataclysm my Swedish-only guild who at the time was progressing on Firelands, recruited a warlock into our ranks. I was leading the raids, playing a paladin going between holy and prot each week depending on sign-ups. I was tanking more than I healed, but both specs saw action frequently. We had cleared Firelands on 10 man normal mode and the GM's (we had 2 gms in the guild as a result of a merger.) decided to invite the new warlock to the 10 man raid, we killed Ragnaros and saw the priest paladin warlock tier helm token drop. I told the Loot council that I would like to have the token for my holy spec, and the warlock said she wanted it aswell. Since I had been in the guild since late Wotlk and was raidleading I was sure the lootcouncil would chose me over a brand new warlock. But no! For some utterly outrageous reason, the 2 GM's used their GM power to make sure that the warlock got her fancy tier helm. I was pissed. How could they have prioritized a new tryout over a raidleader who frequently uses both specs? I asked my self that question a lot, and one day, after a year I asked the GM's why they did it. It turns out that the Warlock had Skype'd one of the GM's and they started talking and after a few minutes she asked the gm if he knew what a candle, some cotton and a condom could do. And you might see where this is going. Before the GM could even react, she turned on her webcam and started to masturbate with the device she had crafted. I can't remember if the GM added the other GM on skype before or after she started the show. But sure enough both of them sat there shocked. They both felt the need to repay her some way for her kindness, so what do they do? They repaid her kindness by basicly letting her get anything she wanted in the raid, and she wanted nothing more than that tier helmet. I'm still pretty pissed of about this to this day.
