Craig's parents are 100% at fault, even if they called the cops how do you not know what your 12 year old is doing, stop blaming the other kid, or someone elses parents. The other parents didn't know, and im willing to bet good ol Craig left that out to the other 12 year old. Too many parents expect other grown ups to raise or look after their kids, newsflash, its your kids and other parents don't have the same authority over your child to discipline your child. Parents being neglectful or not knowing where they are or what they doing have no right to be pissed at anyone but themselves. Take some accountability, and punish your child when they don't listen. I don't understand how somehow this is always someone elses fault, its wild to me.

For real, parents who ban kids from doing something only means they're just going to do it behind their backs. Compromise is important, having a hardline stance with kids usually backfires.

When I was around 12, I had a neighbor who came over almost everyday. He was my friend in school but him showing up started bothering me and my family. We stopped answering the door for him until he stopped showing up and I stopped talking to him at school

Rift was my jam when it came out. I’m probably one of the main reasons the game didn’t take off like it should have. I played a warrior and I mostly pvped. And I abused the shit out of the talent system. Remember, this game was still before theory crafting was big. My warrior was taking out ranged classes at ranged and if there was ever a melee contest, it was shitting on anyone in the area. I got noticed by a cleric. We made friends. He started heal botting me. Things got worse for the enemy teams. Then I noticed random clerics following me in pvp matches. I become an absolute killing machine. You couldn’t stand near my clerics and you couldn’t run away. I don’t believe I died over 20 times the entire year I played. And at least 1/2 of those deaths were 1 shots from elementalests when I didn’t press a CD. I didn’t pve much but the main guild on my server invited me to raid just so I could have the legendary sword in pvp. lol. So much shit talking was done in that game

At 12 is crazy, but Ill fully admit I also walked home in a few blizzards around getting a job because parents handed me a 50 for a taxi and im like yeah right im gonna give a taxi 50$ for an hour walk

First two expansions of Rift still to this day the best mmo ive ever played. Raids were better than any in wow, pvp was more fun than anything in wow, all around better game. Even with 2k days /played in WoW retail and classic getting every cutting edge achieve for mythic raiding, First 2 expansions in rift were far and away a better game. Only thing that came close to how rift felt was mid-legion.

I know it’s hard for Preach and the community to believe this, but there are RP guilds out there that are not all weirdos and or toxic. There are many of these guilds out there full of normal folks who just want to enjoy the EP aspect of MMO’s. It would be so nice if Preach and the community would stop making fun of and also looking down no noses at this aspect of MMO‘s. You have only seen one side of this aspect of MMO‘s, don’t judge everyone by the actions of a few bad apples.

I used to take the bus to school at around 12 years old, one day I just really wanted an icecream so I called my mom and asked if she could pick me, she didn't want to so I said I will walk home if she didn't. Well I ended up buying that icecream and walked home, took me about 4 hours about an 15 ish kilometers
