I would never thought much of this band until I saw this live performance on youtube, "SWEET - Live At Musikladen 11.11.1974 Full Concert OFFICIAL" . "Solid Gold Brass" and "The Man With Golden Arms" are superb. You can really feel the youthful energy, set out with something to prove.

I always enjoyed their music. It always seemed to be fun to listen to. Back then I wouldn't have given their dress or hair a second thought. Now I have to laugh at the excesses of that time period. Love Is Like Oxygen (extended version) is one of their very good songs. Plus Blockbuster, and Wig Wam Bam (where Steve Priest comes on stage wearing a full First Nation's chieftan's head-dress. Still got to explore strange new worlds...... The Sweet are good. But so are Slade (try:- My oh my), Status Quo (try: Rocking all over the World, from a Night at the Proms - with a full orchestra doing a Mexican Wave - you are going to laugh HARD, your sides will split, and it comes with a might wee yourself funny warning), and Mud (try: Tiger Feet). You can thank me later. LOL !
