Love CCR, really takes me back to my older brother playing CCR (and he was usually more of a country and western guy!). I loved this band right away even as a child and props to my brother Tom for cluing me in that they even existed, ha. I'll be 58 soon and my brother just turned 67!

I'm so glad you were impressed. Like Lance, we were so lucky to have lived through such an era of outstanding musicians. My dinky little garage band opened for Creedence once; also once for Hendrix. I saw the Beatles twice in concert. I also saw Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells, Freddie King, Christopher Parkening, Segovia, Isaac Stern.... Sorry, I got carried away by my good fortune. I feel really bad today, however, because I can't seem to grasp Rap and Hip Hop. Many, many of America's greatest musical talents have been African American and yet I can't connect emotionally, or whatever, to today's Black music. It's my failing, not theirs I'm sure. Living as I do in rural Wisconsin Whiteland doesn't help I suppose. Thanks for this video. Perhaps you can help me find my way.

I was fortunate enough to have parents that loved music. CCR always reminds me of camping trips when I was young .... sitting around the campfire, listening to the "Old Folks (maybe 30 lol) talk about the good ol' days. Thank you, Michael, for choosing something that evoked a very happy time in my life. We could all use a little 'HAPPY' right now. Enjoy your journey into the CCR world. I'm looking forward to hearing what you find.

I've always loved CCR. This was totally different than Screamin Jay Hawkins. I'll not get into one is better than the other because that isn't true. They're both great, but I grew up with CCR so my preference is to listen to that version. (Angelina Jordan's version is much closer to Hawkins' version and it isn't bad either. 😊😊😊😊) Cheers, Steve
