I played it at Gamescom today...oh my god it's good. Ground deformation is absolutely a thing, and I think they are intentionally not showing it yet. ITS GREAT

can you explain a bit about how the ground deformation works? I am really interested about how it works on dirt roads not just in the fields etc
@CytrusF12 ай бұрын
@@edwardkay I can't really describe it, but you can actually feel the traction now, it's 3D so if you drive though a wet field and then drive across your tracks you can see the tractor reacting to it. It's great...there are bound to be some videos on youtube fairly shortly

It will be like vehicle damage. You pay a fee and it's fixed.

A few phrases stuck out to me in the text here: "Even my shed got damaged" - Building damage, repair for cost or deliver materials to fix ? "Relative to way bigger field sizes, other farmers got off lightly" - Bigger fields on console ? "Maybe you want to visit yourself and ask the locals some questions" - NPC interaction ?

I hope it's possible to turn the twister mechanic on/off. It would be unrealistic to be playing on a UK or Irish map and have a massive twister come in a rip up your crops. We just don't get that kind of severe weather here so it would ruin an element of the immersion

I think the most critical feature Giant/farming simulator needs to add is a proper buyer and seller simulation. Currently farming simulator objectives are solely dependent on the farmer's/player's preference. It would be great if there is a gameplay mechanism or feature that creates a market where there are buyers that demands a specific type of crop, specific number of harvest produced, and also time frame. This will create a different type of challenge where the farmer has to properly decide which crop he should prioritize according to demand, price, and time required. Sometimes you just want to plant corn but the market can influence your decision depending on how good the reward is. The buyers/demand available would be dynamic and will expire at a certain time if you dont accept the offers. This is not similar to contracts that the game currently is implementing. This new gameplay would require you to use your own land. With this feature the specific buyer you chose would demand specific type of crops, total harvest produced, and specific time required for you to produce it. The great thing would be that it is not done on a short time frame. They might not require you to fullfill it all at once. Maybe they will require you to complete it all by the end of this year or the next 2 years.

The debris from tornadoes made a while year’s crop get claimed on insurance in a portion of my state (AL). Parts of my house were scattered throughout the cotton field behind my destroyed neighborhood back in 2011. The farmer that owned that field said that the year was spent clearing up debris in the fields so he could get equipment out to work it the next year.

Yeah, they did get me with FS 25. I know when FS22 came around I was not nearly as interested or wowed. But the changes they make this time around are really meaningful and have me excited. I also love the wet ground textures during rain, makes it feel so much more alive. Previously rain felt pretty lack-luster with no droplet impact against the windscreen. Rain was still a cozy feeling, especially if you stood in a dry shed and watched it rain outside. Or if you were in your vehicle and heard the raindrops against the roof. But the line about sheds being potentially damaged during storms also has me wondering if they might add a new repair-cost feature for structures? Maybe something that drives up the fix-cost of buildings that gets withdrawn at midnight if they get older or maybe even if they detect a collision with a machine? Just wildly guessing there. But that would be cool.

Really hope we also get building damage and that we can repair it with the boards made in a sawmill. That would be much more exciting than just selling everything
@adamclarkson2 ай бұрын
Oh wow, this was most definitely written by someone with very little knowledge of "twisters." I was born and spent most of my life in the Midwest USA (Tornado Alley), and I think I could count on one hand the number of times someone legitimately referred to a tornado as a "twister" (aside from that movie in the 90s). Another thing-it downplays the idea of tornado predictions; they are never downplayed, and news authorities would never try to reassure people it "shouldn't be anything too severe" or a "light twister." They are always referred to with the respect and fear they deserve.

Dagger, I am fairly new to the franchise from giants and FS having only played 22. I am keen on ordering the new edition but I am unsure as to the releasing strategies of the franchise, in the sense of, with the release of a new game, how much of the current/old game is retained? i.e. is the new base game FS 25 a completely new game from scratch or does it extend from older games. So for instance the nice editions to FS 22 from the DLC and packs are they retained and put into the base game of FS 25 etc.
