cheap labour started with irish ferries,in 2005 irish ferries got rid of their irish staff who were paid E430 weekly and replaced with people from the balkans who they paid E180 per wk.irish ferries re registered in cyprus i think to facilitate this move,trade unions allowed it to happen,the hospitality industry followed suite,remember that year in a restaurent over in galway,handed a menu by a foreign lady who promptly informed me 'there is no service charge' in other words leave a tip,i do not leave tips anymore

Totally agree with you. Where's the leader? This can't/won't happen without a true leader of men. That kind of individual is in extremely short supply at the minute. Testosterone has been traded for a barstool, the Premiership, and a nose full of white powder. All the easy options, while the women went out and fought their corner at the protest sites for their their children and extended families . That's where we're at imo, and I don't see that changing anytime soon or until something really shockingly serious happens. A very big wake-up call is needed in order to pursue this route. The sleeping dog hasn't been poked enough yet. He's far too comfortable at the bar.

Ah least Peter ran for local and general elections. I gave him my vote, twice, but I'm not convinced it's possible for decent people to get a seat for the most part. The Citywest hotel 🏨 has been a financial fiasco from start to finish. How many shady owners has it had by now and government interference and big money involved in a lot of them 😅 How many times can you flip a hotel 🏨 for a big payday for the owner parting company, after the bust.
