I love your teaching style. I love how you explain the thought process behind your beautiful work…starting with cool light yellow and through all the colour additions working towards the darks. HOW CAN YOU TELL WHAT DEGREE OF TRANSPARENCY CERTAIN COLOURS HAVE.

I’m not sure at which point in the replay you commented but I generally start with a damp brush unless otherwise specified.

@@shelleypriorfineart I didn’t see an ugly stage in this tutorial. So beautiful. I don’t do this anymore, but when I first started painting, if I had to go out while my painting was at the ugly stage, I would stick a posted-it on in case something awful happened and I didn’t return… It said “there is a thing called the ugly stage, where my painting is now. Please know that I do not think this is a good painting.” 😂😂😂 thankfully no I longer worry about judgment. Thank you for all you do. You have made me a better artist.
