The bare minerals pot is a concealer by itself! Try using a more blender brush with it, put a little bit of the powder on the lid, swirl it around in the lid and then apply it to your eye area! If you take it straight from the pot without swirling it on the lid it won't apply properly at all!!! I love it! :)

Hey honey! I have a little hack for the eyeliners that didn't work for you. I quickly swipe the eyeliner under a match or flame for less then second and what the flame does is turns the eyeliner into a gel which makes it much more creamy and pigmented. I do this trick with all my eyeliners that give me a hard time. Love you xxx

Hmm, I have a lot of ingredients at home to make my own powders, creams, lotions, etc so I think I could fix quite a bit of these. Maybe with the lipsticks, take a few of them and mix them together in a little pot. The staying power of the one that you describe as taking a while to dry might give the other chunky-sized balms more adherence to the lip? As for the powder you say creased under your eye, I would mix with a little arrowroot starch. There just might be too much pigment in it for you. That would make it lighter. For the highlighter trio you showed, have you tried crumbling it? It might be just too packed in to work well. The lighter two colours might make a nice highlighter and the darker one a nice lighter colour for your lids? It also might get some help from some arrowroot starch to reduce the glimmer. Finally, the perfume. Have you tried spraying it on a piece of scrap fabric and throwing it in with your delicates? I understand the migraine thing and I would risk one for the life of me but you might be able to get the scent you like but the more alcohol-y, more volatile scents should evaporate away in the dryer. Use just a tiny bit on the scrap of fabric, you don't want loads of alcohol in a hot dryer. I know how it feels to realize that a bunch of new buys are so disappointing but hopefully you can get some use out of them. And I agree with your statement about the sponge on the concealer. It's gross and they shouldn't package it that way. If you can get it out and put it in a small, cleaned out lip gloss tube, it would probably be much better and you can lighten up with other concealer. :)

Great video like always! One way to use the ambient lighting palette is if you bake your under eye area with powder and let it set for a few minutes. Then dip your brush in the ambient lighting powder and swipe away the access powder with it and your under eye area should be looking flawless and luminous. I haven't tried this myself, but I know Tati (Glamlifeguru here on KZbin) loves using this technique! Might be worth trying :)

I had the same issues with the Hourglass palette too. Now, I use a light dusting over my entire face when I use a foundation that's a bit too matte. I've actually received compliments on my skin since trying this. Maybe it might work for you too? 🤔

For the Maybelline Eraser, #1 rip that sponge off, I used tweezers. Then when you twist up the product do it super slow so just a drop at a time comes up, no waste or mess that way. The shade you need is called either Radiance or Radiant, it's very brightening under the eye, and you barely need ANY, if you use too much it will look like shit.

For the ambient lighting powders I find it to be helpful if you apply it on your cheekbones then spray your face with fix plus(or any setting spray) then once the fix plus (or setting spray) is almost dry go ahead and apply more on top of it. You'll get a much more pigmented highlight!

I use the Age Rewind in the Neutralizer shade. If you're worried about bacteria build up you can rip the sponge part off and pump it out that way instead!!

for the Age Rewind the sponge is antimicrobial so I wouldnt worry too much. But I find the concealer dries on it a little between uses and messed with application so I just take the sponge off. Fixed. Absolutely love this concealer.

I have the hourglass palette and spoke to the woman at the counter. I use the darker bronze shade as a bronzer as it is very glowy, the middle lighter shade as a highlighter base or as a slight natural glow and the last shade to lightly dust over my face as it illuminates my skin and has a very natural look for summer.

With the Loreal duo lip thing, I think you just have a dud colour. Try one that has no glitter in it, I have the colour Invincible Sable (113) and it's honestly amazing; dries fast, super matte and lasts at least 6 hours. Hope it works out for you if you try it :)

Bare Minerals Well-Rested is not a setting powder, it is a stand alone undereye concealer that's meant to be blended with powdered Bare Minerals foundation. It looks terrible over liquid or cream concealer, but it's absolutely lovely for light makeup days where I'm only using BM loose powder foundation or a tinted BB cream as foundation. It's more opaque and highlighting than Ben Nye Banana Powder, but Banana Powder is probably what you want if you're looking for a concealer setting powder.

the Wet N' Wild Megaliner (the not waterproof one) is really great. it's the ONLY liquid liner I use at the moment. it's definitely a go to for me and it doesn't seperate, it's REALLY black, and it's smudge proof.

if you're used to bake your face with powder, you can use one colour from the hourglass hilighting palette to remove it! when your undereyes or whatever are baked, just place a hilighting shade on a bush and remove all the powder that you've put on. that way maybe you're going to have a really beautiful effect!

I love the Revlon Matte Balms! I have a few, too. They give me opaque color without the dryness I get from regular lipstick or lip creams. And I adore the peppermint scent. I have dry skin, but since you have mentioned that you can get oily they may not be a good match for you.

I love the hourglass powders. I've tried them several different ways. Sometimes I highlight with the white one and put the peachy one on my cheekbones. You can also swirl all three colors together and use it to set your face.

the lorriel lip stain is my favorite! with it less is more. you don't want to layer it up.you wait until your lips stick together then apply the balm. it's excellent

I love the wet n wild water proof eyeliner, It is really hard to get off, but I dip a Q- tip in makeup remover and work it directly onto they eyeliner. Also, before I apply it I always shake it really well because the product does separate if you don't. It has something inside that you can hear when you are shaking it, reminds me of nail polish and the little ball some polishes have inside.

For the l'oreal lip stain, i might be wrong but i believe the thing you said was a balm is actually a lip primer so you put it on before the stain..that may stop it from settling into lines?

try using the benefit well rested AFTER you use a regular setting powder like laura mercier translucent setting powder. Then Use well rested just a little bit with a fluffy brush to brighten the area, not set concealer.

I totally agree with the NYX product. It was exactly the same with me. I found it benefited more when I mixed it either in my foundation (a small amount) or in my primer. In the summer the subtle shine in my face looked really pretty. Doesn't add more oil to your face either.

I don't care for the bare minerals well rested for setting under eye concealer either, but it works great if you have a blemish on your face. After you cover your blemish with your regular concealer, apply a little of the well rested powder over it. The blemish literally disappears! Excellent product for this use!

bit late, but the Clinique chubby sticks are a balm. (says so on the package ;) ) they're supposed to give only a light hint and tons of moisture, and you do have to build them to get a fuller coverage (or use them over a liner). if you want something fuller coverage try the chubby stick intense. my favorite is curviest caramel. beautiful color pay off and a gorgeous pinky-nude.

I have a few of the Revlon lip butters. One of them is a darker cherry shade and applies more like a lipstick. The other two are pale pink shades, applies more like a tinted lip balm. I like to use those shades over a matte pink lipstick, instead of a gloss!

I love the hourglass ambient lighting powders. they are not highlighters. they are more of a finishing powder. not to be used like a setting powder. they are not to set your foundation. they are best used on the areas you want to look lit within.this is the last thing i apply to my skin. I use the lightest shade on the bridge of my nose on top of my cheek bone and around the corners of my eyes. the medium shade i use on my cheeks and on the centre of my forehead. just a little product. It will make the skin look softer and more luminous. looks wonderful on camera. Its a subtle change. when i use it people say gosh your skin looks beautiful/healthy. general comments about looking well. Rather than oh your highlight is on fleek etc. i use a tapered brush to apply it. I still use contour and blush and i still highlight with concealer under my eyes etc. Please give it another go! its so expensive and if you get used to it i think you will love it. I too have oily skin and have a fair skin tone.

Well done! I was going to write pretty much verbatim but now I don't have to! 😆 The only reason I own both the 3 pan and the 6 pan (3 of which are blush) are that they were gifts. Lucky me. One friend loves the 3 pan and because I had said I thought they were a gimmick she bought one for me! to convince me. Thankfully Sephora takes back mistakes if she'd been wrong but I do very much enjoy them. They do create a very subtle blurring of fine lines and like you people do comment on my complexion when wearing it. ox Care

I am one of the people that love the Maybelline under eye concealer, I get the Brightening formula and I feel like it works just as nicely as my MAC concealer, just not as heavy. I've heard of ppl taking the sponge applicator off the end too and using it that way if the germs freak you out😉 It just blends into my skin so seamlessly.

The hourglass palette product uses the different lights to create a slimming affect the brown shade, is for bronzing, the middle for all over face powder and the other end shade is highlighter, they are meant to be subtle, theres some science behind it, to do with the different lights, and the lights bouncing off the different powders, I got one from mecca cosmetics and the shop assistant explained it, i just cant remember the full details sorry

For the age rewind, I use it any day I wear makeup. In Urban Decay foundation I'm a 1.0 and I use the lightest shade (fair) and it works great! My friend is the 3.5 in the UD foundation and uses the shade light. I wash the sponge with brush cleaner every few days so it doesn't collect bacteria. I use the daily brush cleaner from Sephora to clean it.

You should use the makeup remover wipes to remove makeup swatches on your hand and such. That way you're not wasting them and keeping them away from your eyes.

For the Hourglass palette I don't think there is anything else you can do. I also found that they don't work as a highlighter. They didn't give me any shine but then also left a streak of odd colour on my pale skin. I then started using them as a finishing powder and it worked really well for me but I do have dry skin. Since you have oily skin I don't think this is going to work well. I've also used them as eye shadows so maybe that's your last option.

I use Well Rested by itself, not as a setting powder. It is a concealer powder. I have crepey under eyes and find most creamy concealers settle into all those fine lines. I apply moisturizer to my under eyes then Well Rested.

Bare minerals products can be tricky in getting them to look right, but once you do they are beautiful! Try using the concealer alone instead of on top of other concealers. It could look better, or try using very little amounts and start small. The Bare minerals loose minerals always look the best when building them up very very slowly! Hope that helps anyone!

I have the biggest trouble with concealer, and the maybelline one is so bad for me! the color is so hard to pick because in every store I go to, you can't try! and when I went to a store most them had the same name which was "light" and they all were different shades, so I didn't know what to pick! now I use the naked skin concealer and it works like magic

Oh no! The Revlon Lip Butters are my absolute favorite. Sorbet is my favorite color from that line. It works for me because I typically have dry lips due to the extreme heat here in South Florida, and what they do is give me great moisture with a nice pigmented color like a lipstick would mixed with the healing power of Chapstick. My lips are no longer chapped. They are great for when you are in a rush with your makeup. Also, they brighten the color of my teeth and makes them appear more white. I do have a red color that is absolutely gorgeous and moisturizing as well. For perfumes, have you tried Jessica Simpson's Fancy? The original gold color bottle. It's not expensive whatsoever, but I get more compliments on that perfume than any of my expensive ones. Random strangers stop me and ask what I'm wearing. I've worn the perfume for about 3 years now, and it never gets old. I have not tried Meow, but I am a migraine sufferer, so I completely understand the issue with smells.

I use the lightest dusted over my whole eye socket if I want a natural light glow and a light sweep on my forehead when wearing long lasting foundation to brighten slightly

I found the same thing with the nyx highlighter so now I mix it in equal parts with my Sally Hansen leg makeup - looks great on bare legs! And if that's too much you can tone it down with equal parts moisturizer.

Could you use the Hourglass highlighters as eyeshadows? I have used many of my highlighters as eyeshadows and they look beautiful; especially if I spray a little Mac Fix+ on the brush!

At minute 9:50: the Loreal balm/gloss....you are supposed to apply the lip balm first. The lip balm acts as a primer. It's the same concept as putting on a face primer before foundation. The balm helps fill in the gaps of the creases of your lips, just like a primer fills in the pores and fine lines on your face and around your eyes and cheeks. This is why the glitter was so pronounced on your lips and why the gloss was never drying, because it's not supposed to. Long wearing glosses will have a tacky feel to them unfortunately. It's one of those products that you can try to get used to or just keep your regular gloss on hand and apply it every hour or two. BTW, I love your videos. You are absolutely gorgeous. You have really helped me with my skin and how to apply long wearing foundation for flawless coverage. I suffer from lupus and have trouble covering the red Mylar (butterfly) rash when I do get flare ups or go out in the sun. Thanks so much! XOXO ~*Cris*~

The revlon matte lip balm (no idea why they call them balms) in the color standout is a great drugstore option for a red lipstick that makes your teeth look whiter!

You should try out the hourglass ambient powders under your eyes, the area above your lip, chin and bridge of the nose(if its too shiny for your face just put it under your eyes and on your nose) they really make the face look so bright, smooth and gorgeous. With the maybelline rewind concealer I got to agree with you, also never worked for me.

If you use a oil based cleanser to remove waterproof makeup, it will make your life so much easier. I do agree with you about the wet n wild waterproof liquid liner though. Try the nonwaterproof version. The nonwaterproof version is one of my favorite drugstore liquid liners.

I was so surprised to see so many of the products I also regret purchasing. The Maybelline circle eraser I do like. I recommend using the colors light or neutral depending on how tan you are (neutral is darker). Both othe these have slight yellow undertones which I prefer. I use this on top of foundation and blend out with a damp beauty blender. As an aside I get poor coverage if I directly apply to primed skin under foundation.
