The case is under *EEOC/Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.* And depending on the state (which this isn’t filmed in the US but is meant to be in the US. There is actual state cases that allow for state level lawsuits, and passing laws regarding sexual harassment. Like: • Maine passed HB1016 - making mandatory training and imposing fines. • Illinois passed SB402 - forcing general assembly to make policies regarding sexual harassment. • California passed AB1682 - prohibiting NDAs regarding sexual harassment. Other states (about 40 by 2018) already passed their versions regarding sexual harassment. So, this scene, even though really good. Isn’t true in regards to real life in America.
